I'm not comparing Harden to Kobe as a player. Howard wanted more of a role on the offense in LA and Kobe just told him to defend and rebound.

This is not the year to say "He doesn't care about chemistry!!" blahblahblah bull****. Yeah, easy for you to say in hindsight he should have broken a WCF team up. Doesn't care about chemistry. That's so cute. Where was this talk last year or year before? SILENCE.
Me too. Here's a man who played like Harden does, dominating possession after possession and winding down the shot clock....who never won one stinking playoff series. Love McGrady but too much tunnel vision baby. If Lebron James can play off the ball, if DWade can play off the ball, if Kevin Durant can play off the ball, if Kobe Bean can play off the ball.....so can James. James simply doesn't want to play off the ball. And if Morey continues to yield to James we are NEVER going to win a championship with him. Like McGrady, James don't know what's good for him.
Actually you're agreeing with T_Mac... He didn't say James couldn't play off the ball.. I do agree with your Morey statement.. T_Man
Remember this epic rant Jeff Van Gundy went on about Howard wanting more post touches with the Lakers. I thought it was a little overly critical at the time, but he made some valid points. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/C0o4crq6DNc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
he does seem unwilling to play off the ball. but sometimes i also doubt if he's able. when was the last time we saw harden coming off a screen doing a catch-and-shoot? outside of a fastbreak, almost all his plays starts with dribbles. it's a very different rhythm. a team that has an offense consisting of primarily its star player's iso's is extremely unlikely to win a title. and while 33%@3's = 50%@2's mathematically, we only have streaky shooters. and, i havent mentioned a single word about defense yet...
I know what you said but in no way besides needing the ball 20 plus times a game should they be mentioned together in any sentence at all. Ex. "Kobe and Harden were playing each other." NO. "Kobe and that shooting guard on houston were playing each other ."
So Kobe was right all along about Dwight? I remember seeing how hard Kobe had to work that year to get the Lakers to the playoffs, and he ended up tearing his achilles. The Lakers have been all down hill after that. I think just let Dwight walk, everywhere he goes just ends up in disaster. The guy isn't a night in night out threat.
Him getting <9 fgas a game is why his % is so high, see Tyson Chandler and Deandre Jordan and every other garbage man.
dwight did more than kobe that entire year despite the popular opinion. He played severely hurt and still was the best center. Kobe was good as well. But Dwight was still very good
the irony is that tmac was one of the most ball dominant players here. During our streak when we played the Mavs I remember Barkley saying it and T-Mac saying he took offense to it in the post game.
Can't wait for this to end. Their games have never ever meshed. Morey should have taken whatever the hell he could have gotten for Dwight. Tank this season and keep you're first rounder.
It's unfortunate that Howard never improved his free-throw shooting, that really limits his effectiveness on the offensive end. More often than not, teams are just intentionally fouling him to prevent dunks/shots around the basket. Yeah, he has a high FG%, but his inability to hit free throws somewhat offsets that. It makes it very difficult to go to give him numerous low-post touches in a game, when they often result in him going to the line and missing free-throws.
