The above Vines are great. So many dumb plays that cost us this game. And we only needed a couple of more baskets to win. But we squandered SO many. Bad teams find ways to lose and there is your visual evidence. One of the main faults with Jones (and there are many) is that he doesn't know the meaning of the words 'pass' or 'assist' Once he gets the ball, he has tunnelvision. Straight to the hoop regardless of how well he is covered or how many defenders. Throws up a desperation shot. Seen it too many times. He can't do that from the bench. Nail him there. Would rather have Smith's size in the game. Sure Josh takes some knucklehead shots, but he's a better rebounder/defender than Jones and is willing to alley-oop to his 'AAU Teammate' Dwight
I like how everybody says that the Jazz are a playoff team. Yeah, they're a fringe playoff team just like the Rockets are. That really says it all about this season though.
No the crazy thing is 23 seconds all of a sudden jumping to 3 seconds left. Now it makes more sense .
that was the play where they threw it to Lawson for a layup and Utah was complaining about the buzzer going off bc of the clock malfunction
That was when they had to restart the shot clock and the clock guy messed up by dropping it down to 3 seconds. Ty ended up getting a layup out of it even though the j*zz complained.
You know how when you show up to the gym to play pick up ball but your game is just off cause you haven't touched a basketball in like 2 months so you feel like **** cause everyone on your team hates you but you're the only guy left to make an even 5 on 5. You want to leave but they keep saying 1 more game while at the same time they try to swap you for a player on the winning team but the winning team doesn't want to lose. Jones is like the professional version of that.
The Terrence play... #1 terrible terrible spacing #2 terrible spacing because looks like no play being run. broke down play via no play via no coach. #3 what the hell is Lawson doing in there? And then he casually leads his guy out and right into the lane that TJ is driving in so that Lawson's defender is there to arm hack TJ...which is why he way over shot the shot, because the foul forced him to power through the arm hack. That or the arm hack made him lose control of the ball. #4 we suck
#5 - That could have been called an offensive foul on Dwight on that initial shove had the Jazz player exaggerated the contact. Seen it happen too many times this season and Dwight never learns from it.
I hate the way this team plays. So many stupid mental lapses combined with no plan offensively or defensively.
Biggest things the really bites us in the ass are: * Brewer reaching in on every play (even if the other team is in the bonus, gave up 2 points on a stupid foul before the half last night) which opens up driving lanes for the other team. * Dwight going for the block on every drive (even if the ball is clearly on it's way down. Gives up 1-2 goaltendings every game) which opens up clear side rebound and putbacks for the other team. They may get a steal or a block, but they are giving up more points with these plays and this is very correctable from a coaching stand point.
