I don't want to make the playoffs (normally I would be all in). Things must change. This roster doesnt need tweaks, it needs to be nuked. Harden and the rookie scale guys can stay. Sayonara to the rest. Bitterly disappointed and highly confused about the plan after no deadline change. Would have been better to flush the vets, play the young guys and see what pick/s we could get.
I want too see them get taken to the woodshed in 4 by GS. Then maybe they'll put in what it takes too win
Yes, absolutely. We will likely get embarrassed, but making the playoffs is a necessity always when you have the opportunity. These guys play to win, and I watch the Rockets to win. I know what is the forfeit and it sucks. I do wish we could also keep our 1st round pick, and it will be more valuable than a first round exit. Still.
I'm talking about Durant and Horford. If you think that NOT making the playoffs isn't a disadvantage I don't know what to tell you. Both of those guys want to win right now especially Durant.
I keep changing my mind. Sometimes I think that we could get hot at the right time and other times I would rather have a first rounder than to get embarrassed in the first round.
We probably won't make the playoffs anyway given the tough schedule and the way the Blazers and Jazz are playing. Hell, even the Kings aren't that far back of us. And personally, I don't want them in the playoffs. They're gonna get rolled by the Warriors, Spurs, or Thunder, and they'll have nothing to show for it with the draft picks going to Denver. Best thing to do is tank the rest of the way, keep the picks, move up in the lottery, and then clean house this offseason in both the coaching staff and front office. This organization needs a fresh start. It's a damn shame we got screwed out of that Detroit trade. Having potentially 2 lotto picks instead of 1 would've been great.
It's impossible to know if our draft pick will be a "game changer" or not. You don't have to have a top three pick to find a star player. The Houston Texans made the playoffs this past season. Was that fun?
I agree. I want the warriors in round 1.... If we get swept that may be enough to send us in the offseason actually willing to overhaul this staff and roster? But what if we dethroned them? Much more attractive landing spot for KD and others... ok never going to happen but I still believe.... Where is that llama pic?
I hope they don't make it for 2 reasons 1. We keep our pick. Major factor when trying to rebuild 2. Harden gets mad for not making playoffs and uses that as motivation for a Map type year next season.
Harden is going to use the MVP snub to come out and play his ass off in the playoffs Harden is going to use the Barnes comments towards his mother to come out and play his ass off Harden hopefully isn't selected to the ASG so that'll motivate him to come out and play better Hopefully the Rockets miss the playoffs so Harden can use that as motivation for a better year next year :grin:
Who knows, playoffs might help this team. But at the looks of it, we might not even make it...............
