Completely forgot about this. My initial thoughts before the last episode where that it was either Barry's dad or Eddie that was Zoom. Maybe the Jay Garrick doppelgänger in earth 1, Hunter Solomon, becomes the Earth 1 version of Zoom?

Well . . .according to the NERDS I chat with Spoiler the JAY we know is a character called EVERYMAN which has the same decaying cell issue (Don't know much about that but we did see this character before. . .well the Earth 1 version He was killed by Joe https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Everyman_(DC_Comics) The real JAY is in the cage At this point . . . . WE HAVE NO REASON TO THINK THE GUY IN THE MASK WILL LOOK LIKE THE JAY WE KNOW . . . .. so it is entirely possible that Solomon is Zoom. . . .AND when he takes off the mask he will look like the JAY we know But i think the man in the mask will look different Rocket River
I know it may have been hard to tell but when they zoomed in on the guy in the cage, it looked like in the back of his head his haircut was similar to the Jay we know.
The Flash is easily the best superhero show on TV right now. The only thing Arrow had on Flash from last season was that Arrow was already established while Flash was trying to rein in eyeballs. AoS is trying, but still not good enough imo. Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow have to find their footing first. Arrow, to me, has become really boring.
Out of all those shows, I agree, The Flash is the best Super hero show and the one I look forward to. The best Comic Book show on TV right now is iZombie. Y'all sleepin' on this one.
so there are four jay garricks? man in the iron mask, zoom, man in the park and the guy banging killer frost? I'll just wait for the reveal instead of messing with the time travel space continuum. give me more headaches than the rockets.
Why does the caged "Jay" have such an iron mask / iron helmet thing on, though? I mean, nothing else is essentially covered up, which makes me think the dude in the iron helmet has a power that has to do with the head. Cyclops' lasers? Canary's voice? etc.
Really ****ty reveal. hoping its misdirection. don't know how though. If that's how they choose to actually reveal zoom, then that's awful.
how can that be? 1. guy on ground shape shifter? 2. Zoom aka Jay Garrick? 3. Actual Flash from E2? or Jay Garrick from E1?
The link LosPollosHermanos posted did a good job of explaining how it could be 3 of them due to time travel (I think, don't remember). Too confusing for me so I just accepted it.
The time travel and alternate realities reminds me of Heroes ... and we know where that ended up. Its very very difficult to do time travel with TV shows. And doing alternate realities compounds on the complexities. Together, the possibilities are endless. Throw in writers from the CW, the show is guaranteed to end up extremely sloppy to where the most forgiving of views will shake their heads. It doesn't bode well only being half way into season two and introducing all of these complexities.
Yea it was a good call by the writer of the article. So apparently, if I remember correctly, Zoom is basically future Jay. Jay took the Velocity serum over a period of time and became so dependent on it that it warped his mind and made him hungry for more speed. The serum, because it was so powerful, had profound toxic effects as well and began to cause cell death. In order to stay alive he needed someone to harvest the cells from, so he traveled back in time with his speed and is using the Jay (iron mask) to keep himself alive. So yea, zoom is basically a crazy drug addict that can't get enough speed.
I think these are the 3 Jays: 1.) Zoom---Jay post velocity crazed addiction travels back in time 2.) Jay of Earth 1 (mask ) 3.) Jay of Earth 2 (dead?)
