    Not trying to bait you...just trying to have a conversation with you.

    Not a Lin-only fan, and not trolling at all...just conversing with others who are interested in Lin.

    Not sure why my story doesn't make sense...I was a NJ Nets fan because I am from NJ and they were the home-town team. And then not only do they leave, but they leave after the team is finally showing signs of success after decades of disappointment, and they move to NYC, which NJ has always lived in the shadows of. That ripped my heart out. So now I have to find another team to become a fan of, and I want something that can give me emotional attachment and I've had no luck finding that attachment so far. Why does that not make sense?

    Yes...the only reason why I post on this forum is because of the active Lin thread. I would actually be surprised if only 90% of my posts on this forum weren't in this thread. But does that mean that I am not talking about NBA and basketball in other places? No...of course not.

    All I am saying is that if you are going to be comparing yourself to Hakeem, you should be more respectful of how you represent yourself...because Hakeem deserves that from his fans. To be pumping your chest claiming to be "Hakeem-level" and acting like you are a God is very unbecoming of anyone who claims to respect Hakeem.

    No, his opinion has been spot on about you trying so hard to use being a 99er or Hakeem's name to disrespect anyone who is a fan of lin and Jeremy Lin.

    Even if it is true you met him and your opinion about him was negative due to whatever reason it does not give you any right to say his character is less than Hakeem or any other sports figure you have personally meet.

    Base on what I know about you and your views posted here, you are a very shallow person who definitely lack a board view of life and this world.

    And btw still can't see how you find this thread HEALTHY as you said. Noone but you and the other LOFs watch the Hornets consistently anyway coz noone cares. So what there's to discuss? Go to the Hornets forum.
    Real uneducated fans never root to lose.
    Real educated fans when they see their team be the 13th seed 7+ games out of the playoffs , they root for loses because they know there's more of a chance to get a great player at the top of the draft.

    Now if you have one night your one 20 y.o franchise player have a carreer high 28 points and the next your other 21 y.o franchise player have a triple double and that causes wins then nothing you can do about it.

    Luckily against the Hornets we had Lin with his turnover and awful shooting and Lamb to help us with to secure the loss. Thanx Lin.

    This program was created to address disadvantages for people based on race, sex, and disability who are poor as a result. IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE COLOR BLIND. That's not my opinion, that's the history, that's why it exists. You have no clue what you're talking about. There are no poor white people who are poor because they're white and their families have been racially oppressed. This law was never intended to be color blind. It's very purpose was in large part because of color, the racism experienced due to it, and the poverty that resulted. You can't quite seem to grasp these very easily verifiable facts.

    You want to go start an additional program for the poor, great. I'm all for it. But I don't support dismantling AA until there are improved and consistent educational opportunities for primary and secondary kids regardless of the neighborhood they're in. This type of improvement makes AA in education unnecessary in my view.

    I've asked you repeatedly for data demonstrating how Asians are disadvantaged that should necessitate them receiving affirmative action. You've provided none, ever. The best you could do was some article on how Asians only make up like 20% of the Harvard student body. Not exactly compelling, especially considering the income data that shows that Asians are quite successful financially.

    But really this topic for you is all about you being Asian. That's your interest, that's why you don't like it, and that's why you keep bringing it up. I have verifiable data and facts on my side and all you have is garbage rhetoric. So go start a thread and do your worst. Stop bringing this up here to deflect from your own Asian bias and racism.

    Rockets and Mavericks fans don't like each other. However none of the parties go on each other's forums to 'defend' their players when someone has a different and less favorable opinions of their team.

    There are 2 reasons for the LOF

    1. Insecurity.
    I'm secure in my fandom in Hakeem Olajuwon for what he did for the Rockets and the NBA and the universe.
    I don't need or have the urge to go to a Spurs, Bulls, Lakers site to defend my thoughts on Hakeem.
    However if some fake fans join our site and discredit Hakeem, I will destroy them.
    Lin fans stay around here wait for me, zboy, ftw, king1,comets, to comment on Lin. Why? They are insecure.
    We can say that cause that's how we feel about Lin as a group of Rockets fans discussing other players.

    2. They can't stand each other.
    LOFs come to other team's bbs cause they can't survive in environment of just Lin fans, that's like a virus without a host. a virus can't infect another virus.
    In contrast, Rockets fans can agree, disagree, like or dislike each other. We all share the same 'house'.

    Keep up the good work malakas, you'll be hakeem status soon.

    That wasn't what you said though. I'm here because it's a lot more fun to observe the Lin obsession here. Nowhere else comes close with the Lin obsession from the LOF by your definition.

    If you want to perform a statistical analysis, who has the most first posts after each bad Lin game in this thread? :cool:
