Aside from the main topic here, can someone guide me through the recent cultural history that has brought "bear false witness" back into the acceptable normal lexicon of daily speech? I know it's just meant to resonate with a certain translation of the Bible, but still -- I've seen a lot of it lately. So unto might I anticipate the day where, yea, other speech may return to our tongue. On topic, I for one don't dislike Cruz because he claims to be a Christian -- it's actually because of his many policies, statements, and actions that are, to my reading of the New Testament, completely anti-Christian. But unto each, his owneth witness.
Conservatives are increasingly advocates for 18th century government and morals so this is just part of that. If the trend continues you may come to see witch trials and gunfights at high noon in your lifetime.
Because he knows he's irrelevant, Trump is the (reality show) star and Rubio is the rallying point for GOP. He won't be able get appointed to the Fisheries Committee much less get legislation before Congress. It was a crazy gambit fueled by ambition and the self-righteous messiah complex of his Dad.
As can be expected, Cruz is panicking and as a result is ratcheting up the crazy and in the process, reversing his statements and positions from January: http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/ted-cruz-i-would-send-agents-look-people-u-s-n523956

That's not a reversal at all. He's saying ICE should continue to do what they've always done; track down illegals and deport them.
Cruz said agents of Immigration and Customs Enforcement would be sent to 'Look For People' in the U.S. illegally. Of course that has been happening even under the Obama regime, as it is the job of ICE to find people who have overstayed their work visas and to sanction employers who are routinely employing illegal aliens who are here illegally, not to mention deporting any such employees. As far as the assertion by NBC that this amounts to a 'deportation force,' that is going to dedicate itself to a 'mass deportation' effort, that is not anything that Cruz spoke to or said. This is just another example of the constant lying on the left, in this case the lying leftists at NBC News. If anyone had wanted to know about his stance on 'mass deportations' and if it has changed, then they could have asked him about that, but apparently didn't. But now Cruz will be asked about this in the next couple of days, probably today. He will clarify that he was talking about enforcing existing law using existing immigration enforcement personnel (ICE). Until then, there will almost certainly be some of you who will want to repeat this lie crafted by the lying lefties at NBC News, because, well, you are liars and you apparently enjoy lying that much. In fact, I will not be surprised if some of you go on to emphasize this proclivity of yours by continuing to repeat this lie even after Cruz is asked about and provides the inevitable clarification of his remarks. Not that any such clarification should really be required, as he obviously was never asked specifically about, nor did he speak to his position on 'mass deportations' in this interview.
Not exactly. This is what Cruz said in January: This is what he said now: As with all of slimy Cruz's statements, he carefully words to allow his snaky wiggle room. But in this case, he now says he would actively send agents to look for illegal immigrants where in January he said he wouldn't. In January he hoped to not look too extreme, but after losing to Trump he ratcheted up the rhetoric.
LOL, while he is "clarifying", perhaps he will also clarify why anyone would be deported... In January: Now??
Cruz has made the move to a couple of third place finishes. Let's see what's going to happen next? There's one less candidate now. Will that help him move to second place, or will he finish in third again?
It's too bad that University students aren't the base for Republicans. They're base is Old, Rural and barely high school educated, or at least that's what the polling data this year says.
I wonder if young Teddy had the same response when approaching a house of worship... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/LO3KlIShoHo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
So you're saying Cruz's policy is actually "I'll do exactly what Obama does!"? That seems like a winning strategy in a GOP primary.
