Morey hasn't been fired..why do you think that is? As much as people complain and say he has messed up, why is he still here?

Either Morey is doing better than people say or he's good at doing what Les wants..maybe a little of both.

the people that will criticize you for that are the people who have never paid $17 for water and pretzel at Toyota Center.

Morey is a real good yes man!

So Les is letting him handle one or two decisions of his own.

They both failed and missed more lately than they got right.

They were on a good road and just ruined most of it.

Still think it was a mistake not locking up Parsons long term. He was the glue to the unit. He is on par defensively with Ariza as ariza is getting older. With the cap going up next year we could have built around harden dwight and Parsons

The Morey regime has never built through the draft.

Quick tell me which starter is a Rocket pick?

Your exactly right.. Which makes you wonder. We are constantly hoping to land players with the assets we acquire either through picks or young drafted players.. I'm not saying it's the wrong method but it's like man... Why the heck can't we land that core around harden and Dwight through the draft. Is it more? Is it scouting?

well that was the crossroads we've been at this season. During the Harden/Howard years, the idea was that rookies and 2nd year players wouldn't help us win a title during this small window. but with Howard possibly leaving in the offseason, it could be a time to draft and develop some difference makers. Unfortunately, even if Howard does leave, we have Harden's free agency coming up shortly so any step away from Win-Now could jeapordize his return.

And honestly, building through the draft is just a tough road to hoe if your owner forbids you to tank. You may be able to grab a difference maker at #14 but the odds are against it. The Adelman years were especially good for grabbing a mid-tier talent and raising his value by virtue of playing in such a great offensive scheme.

Completely agree.. Which also raises the question of can the hiring of a coach like JVG or Thibs propel those young draft picks and players to key role players in a title run? Given their own personal successful schemes

Easy on Parsons...the back and knee injuries he has had dont just fix themselves...I'd like to see him play more before declaring him healthy

Did Les force Morey to trade for Lawson?

Would not surprise me if somehow Parsons crawl his way back to us and stay injury prone during that period. just our luck

Les blows. He lucked into the greatness of championship teams and has pissing away the team ever since. He's also cheap.

I said a while back we need to change the whole organisation structure and it starts with Les. I wanted him gone for a long time now, because all he cares about are the big names and my guess he wanted Bosh, Melo and them a lot more than Daryl wanted. Leslie inherited a winning franchise and he cares about money, so the occasional draft pick or few months in luxury tax does not mean anything. He's cheap and should leave.

I think Morey has done a decent job in his tenure even with les alexander's spoiled brat attitude. Les has been known to be a cheap man. People talk about how he pulls off these deals to bring stars in but honestly the man is afraid to dig in his wallet. People here knock on Cuban for being so involved and passionate about his team yet we'd be so lucky to have an owner like that. Heck the evidence goes back to the days of getting Pippen. It definitely didn't come with a price. Barkley had to sacrafice his pay in order for us to get him. The Rockets are a business first and he isn't in it to win but to make a profit. The trade that just got vetoed by Detroit just allowed us to lowball Dmo at an insane rate. Dwight's stock also probably just plummeted down to scraps at this point as well. I feel for Morey at times, I really do. The man is being forced to shop at the clearance and bargain bin all day long hopefully finding a gem while Les just bought a new 20 mil dollar condo in Mid Town Manhattan at the Baccarat Hotel. If we're lucky Les will sell the team to a rich entrepreneur who actually gives a damn about winning. Imagine if we had an owner like Balmer at the helms with Morey's mind and an attitude of winning at all cost. The Rockets would have at least one more ring since the 90's guaranteed. Mcgrady and Yao would also have a statue out front because we would have surrounded the guys with legit help.

Les is too busy to be the owner of the Rockets because his campaign against Hillary on the Democratic ticket has gone way further than he initially thought it would.
