LOL It matters WHEN you make the TO to how costly are for your team. Luckily for the Hornets Clifford pulled him so he couldn't make more crucial TO. HEALTHY?:grin::grin::grin: Only Marquis de Sade would name what you are doing here healthy. Yup they too made costly TOs. At least Batum can defend well though. Lin? Not so much Absolutely. Giving 30+ minutes to two 21 y.o and sink or swim by them hoping for the best pick possible. And THAT's the beauty of being a fan of a TEAM and not a player. You can enjoy even tanking when done right for the best of your team, because your self respect and enjoyment isn't tied to one single journey man. I would be more proud to be even a fan of the Kings and the 76ers than be a LOF.
^^ lin is one of the better defenders on the team. 2 minutes left he stole the ball twice. that's why Clifford kept Lin in the game for the final minutes
Ok...so Lin makes a TO after helping the team close a 10 point deficit, and that is "keeping the Bucks in the game". But Lamb makes a TO a minute later with the team down by 1 and it's not a big deal? Then Batum has a TO with :18 left and the Bucks down by 1 giving the Bucks a chance to take the lead, and that's not "keeping the Bucks in the game"? LOL! Ok, you can have your double standard... Ask any Hornets fan who the top 3 defenders on the team are, and I guarantee you that 99% of them name Lin among those 3. Given how his offense has dropped this season, it's his defense that is earning his minutes this season. Not sure I see the connection there. If I am a fan of a team, I want them to win, not tank. I have NEVER understood the thinking behind wanting your favorite team to tank for better draft position. And yes, I would hate to be a Lin-Only fan as well. The Hornets are an easy team to root for because they seem to be a class organization with a good coach and players who are good teammates.
Advanced statistical modeling is just voodoo to Neanderthal snoopy dope. *chuckle* So you were ignorant on real plus minus and apparently ignorant on advanced statistical modeling. Educating ignorant LOFs is a Clutch City pastime.
Neanderthal partner in stupidity over here. It's okay dude, stupid people often think something they don't understand is irrational.
And really, you want to keep bringing up affirmative action in this thread for some reason. The fact is you have already admitted supporting Jeremy Lin due to the fact you're both Asian. You're also on record as being against affirmative action simply because of how it affects Asians. You're a joke. I'm already on record as not liking AA, not that it ****ing matters. So you keep lying like it means something but if you want to discuss it then go start a thread you racist clown.
I will admit that I do not understand any "advanced statistical modeling" that shows Ronnie Price to be better than Tony Parker and Rajan Rondo...
Maybe you understand how someone's performance in a small sample of playing time against reserves can change when they play starter's minutes against starters. Go chew on that one for a while.
Not to derail the thread, but you call me a racist when you're the true racist on this site. The pathetic part is only you don't even realize it lol. You say you don't like AA but you were adamant in supporting a form of AA based on skin color, rather than (color-blind) income. I'll just put this here. This page: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?p=8299578#post8299578 and this page: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=244669&page=6 is a goldmine of classic CosmetWins racist quotes. Seemed like everyone disagreed with you. Do you know what all narrow-minded people like CosmetsWin have in common? They're stubborn. Even when proven wrong. Exhibit B: Bogus statistics ranks Ronnie Price over Rondo and Tony Parker. Still insists on his "Advanced statistical modeling" LOLLLLL Stubborn narrow-minded fool..
People on this thread need to learn the lessons of the great Michael Jackson, It doesn't matter if you are black or white <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/3ZHtL7CirJA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> and lin fans need to Spoiler beat it beat it beat it beat it
oHHH wait a second? You are a hornets fan now? So when next year Lin opts out and leaves to another team you will still be Hornets fan? Real fans aren't mercenaries jumping like butterflies from team to team. As for tanking , what's the point when the team is already out of the playoffs? top 8 pick> pick 12-14. Meanwhile watching young talent grown and learn.
Another good Michael Jackson song and lesson for the Lin fans <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/wthgd_Rg1qg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> You hit the point dude, Lin fans are jumping from team to team . It's like a bunch of strangers in Moscow <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/pEEMi2j6lYE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
it's really on a few of the same people still talking about him really. tinman has 1631 of the 7392 posts in this thread. that's nearly 21% of all posts. this thread was started on 7/8/2015. that means he literally posts in this thread 7.1 times PER day. granted 7 tinman posts don't really require brain power or provide any sort of insight, but that's still a ****load of time and posts. to put it in perspective, his 49k posts over roughly 6100 days (since may 1999) is roughly 8 posts per day. and just for reference sake, this guy has zero posts in the main dmo trade voided thread, and i couldn't find a single post in almost every other thread i checked on the first page of the GARM. hilariously enough, there was one thread he posted 3x, and i saw his last post which was talking about...you guessed it...jeremy lin. he posted 6x in the original dmo trade thread which was alive for 4 days. granted people have their obsessions and things they like to post about, which is fine, but for someone that preaches about "true rockets fans do this...and do that...i'm a 99er, hakeem ftw, hate player only fans" and has the nerve to criticize others for what they like...it just comes off as highly hypocritical and ignorant. hell for a guy that toots his own horn as if it's almost life accomplishment of joining a basketball forum in 1999, 3% of all his posts in his 17 years here are in this thread alone. and i seriously have no life, i have no idea why i looked that up. if i cared more and probably extrapolated my posting frequency by 10x, then tinman would be my jeremy lin. lol.
