Pistons decide whether he passes or fails the physical. They take everything into account. Even buyer's remorse.
No, he just said that there was "too much risk" you are free to interpret that as you will. The fact that there is some risk of long term health not being where they wanted it could have been enough to make it "not worth the risk" given that they might have a much better pick than they'd hoped for.
They found more risk in his back than they thought. The doctors told them there is x% that he will have serious issues and it was higher than they expected
They're screwing with DMo's head. Now he thinks there's something wrong with him that Rockets doctors didn't see. So he'll go to see doctors himself to see what changed since Rockets checked him. If they show that NOTHING changed in between, DMo gonna be pissed. I wish he goes public, since Pistons screwed his potential value.
In that case, they should have been entitled to be able to modify that trade. That should be addressed in the next CBA.
Based on what DMo said after the trade was voided, it seems like he didn't expect it. Meaning that physical (supposedly) went well and he did everything the doctors told him. It's a strange situation.
X-Rays is just a part of the physical examination. From what he said, he passed the part where he had to do certain physical things (whatever it might be, running on treadmill, elyptical etc.). If it really was the X-Rays, then Pistons shouldn't have a problem proving their case, right?
Mobley sued the Knicks over exaggerating concerns. The doctors and specialist of DET said they can't clear him to play (per The Verticle sources). They have to submit of formal medical report for review by the NBA's Medical Doctor. This report can later be requested by Les Alexander, DMo and his Agent and the NBA Players Association for later legal action...just like Mobley did. Stop the "oh, they just need a doctor's note saying what they want" stuff.
Terrible. Can't believe people would rather have dmo for half a season just to leave. Rather have that first round pick right now
