After Shanny helped destroy his knee, he realized he was no good in 2013, so he benched him and called it "safety precautions" or something like that. In 2014 Gruden was brought in specifically to help Robert, but had enough of it (plus another injury) and decided to bench him. In 2015, Gruden was perilously close to being fired and clearly in Snyder's doghouse. The only reason Gruden was able to promote Kirk to starter in training camp and move Robert to 3rd string was because Scot McCloughan (the new GM who helped build the talent behind the 49ers SB team and the Seahawks, and only left bc he has alcohol addiction problems) went to bat for Gruden and Snyder allowed it. If it wasn't for McCloughan, Robert would have been given at least a handful of starts this season. So Robert's biggest fan and best friend in the organization, Snyder, was convinced that Robert had to be 3rd string. Do you know how big of an upset that was? <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/FrfdrrSfLdU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> DC people in the know couldn't believe it. But Snyder brought in McCloughan because the man had a great track record as a GM and Snyder respected him. Shanny gave up on Robert, Gruden gave up on Robert, McCloughan doesn't believe in Robert, and even Snyder gave up on him. Post surgery Robert is no longer the same 2012 RG3, and he simply isn't going to be a competent NFL starter. It's crazy, or more likely evidence of ignorance of Robert's play over the last two years, that some here still believe in Robert when his biggest fanboy supporter (Snyder) allowed him to be demoted to 3rd string because he finally realized it was the best decision for the Redskins team.
Eh, his teammates all hated him and no one in the Redskins locker room has made supporting statements with regards to him. But Hoyer sucks regardless

An NFL quarterback must have the following to be successful in the NFL. 1. Accuracy 2. Arm strength 3. Quick release 4. Mental capacity to make very fast, decisive decisions 5. Mental toughness and competitive spirit to lead when times are challenging Forget about college production -- it is virtually irrelevant. Mobility is useful for a short period of time early in a QB's career. RG3 simply doesn't have 1-5 above and has deep character flaws on top of that. He is not an NFL quarterback.
That's a pretty low bar. I'm not really interested in wasting time pursuing somebody who's simply better than what we have. That's just kicking the can down the road again. We'd still be talking about Rookie QBs and FAs again next year. I want somebody who can be a long term starter and provide stability to the position. I don't think RG3 is that guy.
Texans probably flew him in, set up the photoshoot to gage fan reaction; thinking, if they dont, "roflmfaolololol" us, they might go for it.
Just saw another picture of him with a manager at a Chick Fil A in Conroe. Interesting. Is he campaigning himself?
