The pick is highly valuable with only top 8 protection:

1)Boston offered 5 first rounders to move up to around 9th pick last year...

2)The average price to unload bad contract of annual 10M salary is about a mid first round pick, or at most a lottery pick(which is exactly where the DET pick likely to end up with).

Even if the trade is voided, Dmo can still get pretty good offers in free agency even from DET, because teams would overpaid but reserve the likely lottery pick.

Rockets can even sign Dmo in free agency by overbidding a bit if the price is not too high, since we are compensated by the pick already.

DD if DMO is all that then why did the Rockets go after Bosh two off seasons ago and LaMarcus Aldridge this past off season? To even mention DMO in the same breath as Durant and Howard is almost comical.

Is there some underlying rule about this? If his back is as a bad as it appears, you would have though Morey would have tried to have his physical waived or something before the trade.. Maybe he tried, who knows.

Let me try to take this one, I'm designing a "random DD stupid response" program to auto-gen his posts.

    Looking good, thoughts?

Dumbest post of the year so far.

Putting DMo next to Kevin Durant and Dwight Howard really gives you a lot of credibility

So basically what your saying is you would rather have DMO (5 minutes of playoff experience) over a proven former MVP who's 27 years old and in his prime?

    DMo and Parsons.

Dream duo that Morey passed up on because he is risk averse.
