I never wanted to resign Dwight after this contract of his is over and I don't recall Durant having back pains from back surgery...

Are we required to give that extension or can we flat out refuse? I don't see how Detroit can request such a thing and void the trade at this point. Someone please explain.

So all 3 teams agreed to extend this deadline.. If the Rockets didn't agree, would the trade had been nullified or would we have the pick and Dmo is in Detroit?

I like DMo a lot but the back injured scared me big time especially how little has been divulged about it since it happened. I mean did it come out it nowhere? From a bad fall? He went from being out a couple of games to close to a full season's worth of games now.

Even if he does play again this season it will be a while till we see him in the same form as last season when he was healthy.

I thought Morey was smart in getting a pick IF the injury to DMo was that bad and it looks like it was. If the trade is rescinded then I have no idea how any team offers DMo any major long term deal. I mean it gives leverage to the Rockets in offering him at worst a fair market value deal if not lower than market value, but how effective will he be going forward with this injury.

IMO the scary thing is how many set backs he has had and considering that DMo has probably been one of the most dedicated players out there in terms of his rehab and strengthening exercises. If doing all that rehab is not making the issue go away then something is really wrong.

If this does get rescinded like Horry and DMo comes back and is healthy and plays well I will be really happy but right now all things considered its hard to see that happening.
