    Can you play stretch 5? ... :(

Seriously, as per heypartner, this would be terrible news for us. Two out of two teams can't be wrong about his back and the value of a 1st round pick.

Thornton still being evaluated himself. Perhaps they check his psoriasis.

Hope all you damn whiny fools got what you wanted. Instead of a lottery pick, we'll get nothing but a broken back DMO taking up a roster spot as he continues to rehab into the offseason and we lose him for nothing because he won't be worth the risk. Morey knows better than you fools.

Don't be excited about this as if forced to take DMO back the Rockets will lose a first round pick and be forced to waive 2 players (or Ty Lawson) to stay under the cap which was what Les told Morey to do at the deadline.

Hope he's alright. The pick is far more valuable than he is.

I think it's more likely that if they void the trade it's over long term considerations, but yeah, I'd be worried about it.

lol at least we don't hear the " it's a conspiracy to showcase Jones"

But notice that Thornton was being still evaluated himself 40 minutes ago.
Either they are incredibly thorough or there's some element of buyer's remorse here.
The team traded for a knowlingly injured player.

So if Morey knew the back injury was a risk, and was trying to salvage something for D-mo..then is it fair to say all the criticism about him trying to move D-MO is unwarranted?

At the very least, now he has even more intel on D-MO going into the offseason. There has been a ton of discussion about Detroit's medical staff and now we have their analysis on it. Season wasn't going anywhere. Worst case, D-MO is back for an awkward 27 games. Hell his value may have dropped so low, that it may even make sense to sign him on the cheap now.

The only person who thought he was fully healthy was you.

If he was healthy weeks ago, he would have been playing... end of story.

If destroit is seriously thinking about this I think that says a lot about the state of dmos back.

If he comes back this dude ain't playing for us this year and might never play again period.

Back troubled never go away. Obviously that specialist in NYC did not give SVG good news.

Yeah, if Morey knew he was messed up long term, then it changes how I view the whole situation. I was basing my opinion on the fact that the Rockets medical staff cleared him and he was already playing in RGV. If the Detroit medical staff thinks his back is jacked up or that he has too high a chance of reinjury, then of course I think differently about the trade.
