Can't wait for him to try and push click bait on Card fans. I hope he remembers to change his password when he gets to STL.
Chron staff is a joke. JDJO Brian Smith Drillich Mcclain cant remember the last chron sports writer whom I respected
I like Feigen. Not the biggest Tags fan. He takes shots at the Texans and Rockets when he can. Like, know your audience.
Anyone remember Richard Justice? He was a bigger flip flopper than most politicians. One week: "With that loss, Houston Astros should look to next season." Pretty much the next week: "Astros starting to 'get it'"
He's still very much around. Writes for mlb.com and was heavily interviewed during the Astros playoff run due to his local ties.
Losing Gallardo is gonna hurt them. I didn't want him like most becuase he screams regression and the pick. But results wise he was very good for them posting a 3.42 ERA. Everybody is hyping the Rangers becuase of Darvish, but I think Darvish will likely be a lateral move from Gallardo's results, even if he's a much better pitcher.
Anything the get from Darvish this year has to be considered gravy, but that being said, they have a pretty good starting rotation: Cole Hamels, Colby Lewis, Martin Perez and Derek Holland as the top 4 with a pupu platter of options (Chi Chi Gonzalez, Nick Martinez, A.J. Griffin, Anthony Ranaudo, Cesar Ramos, Jeremy Guthrie, and Phil Klein) for the 5th starter until Darvish comes back around June. Hoping last year's run was more of an anomaly, but a top 3 of Hamels, Holland, and Darvish (assuming all are healthy) is pretty formidable. Astros need to get off to another good start to give them confidence and hope they can build off of that heading into the summer. One can envision a scenario where a young team, with a lot more expectations going into the year, might really struggle to recover mentally if they get off to a bad start. Go 'stros!!
Colby Lewis had an ERA of 4.66 & 5.18 in 2014. Derek Holland had a 4.91 Perez had a 4.46 And Holland & Perez have struggled to stay healthy.
I can't understand why so many people view the rangers rotation in such high regard Cole is the only guy on there who is truly above a mid rotation starter. Of course Yu is, but he won't be back until June, and most post-TJ guys aren't dominant quickly after returning. I have no doubt Yu will get back to that, but a lot of doubt that it happens in 2016

Great to hear.

Jon Singleton is at 250 pounds of muscle. Or it could just be the usual party line when a player gains a bunch of weight... "It's all muscle!" Same thing happened with Richard Hidalgo in 2001. It really didn't strike me that Singleton needed to bulk up to improve.... Now if this added muscle helps him make contact of any kind, I'm all for it!
