[ClutchFans] Trade Deadline won’t be able to fix all of Rockets’ problems

Clutch had a thorough list, but just forgot to mention Luxury Tax as a problem for Le$, and not having a 1st round pick this year.

 

Well, they'll probably have 2 first rounders now.

This season was over in the first 10 games.
I am not too optimistic in the summer.
Thats what GSW has done to the rest of the league... Demoralize them.

 

Also built from within, and added role players, we flip every player we draft - we are in a vicious circle the drain mentality.

DMo had finally come in as a quality NBA big, so instead of paying him we trade him and get worse.

The Rockets have proven time and time again under Les and Morey they are CHEAP..

I bet Clutch feels kind of silly now. Said we weren't going to solve all our problems, then BAM we acquire Chukwudiebere Maduabum.

 

While I agree with your first statement, I believe that you over-rate DMo. The guy has a bad back, has trouble staying on the court and let's face it: Morey would have been an idiot to eventually pay him the $10M or so it would have taken to keep him. I see nothing cheap about making moves to get out of luxury tax land - especially for this team that's having a crapper of a season.

 

The point is he is a restricted FA, he could have let him play this year now that he is healthy and made an INFORMED decision in the offseason.

Instead he kicked the can down the road again.

That's the one constant in Daryl's years...
He always does the unexpected.
This goes for drafting, trades, etc.

 

I hate it when he does stuff like this. He can't admit the truth openly, but just don't say anything.

 

Now that somebody's mentioned it. I think the way Harden plays might be a reflection of how he feels about Morey and Les. He's probably the most secure player on the team but he's not exactly paid the max $20m+ and probably has doubts he will get it from Houston.

Harden Has been carrying garbage Mchale and garbage morey since he got here. Literally only 1 other all star from Houston since he's been here. He's been carrying this team and we all expect an mvp performance every night from him. This team is trash, we all knew Ariza was trash we traded him after 1 year! We know Lin was trash, last year harden was playing with people like Tarik black and Joey Dorsey are you fn kidding me? We added no PG, we draft these project PF's that never pan out. Stupid.

 

Again, a trade for the sake of trading. There wasn't any reason to the trade today. Donuts back must be in terrible shape,but even so, he was restricted. All that said, they traded a skilled 7ft er.
