No kidding? If we can't even break .500 with Harden and Howard, I wouldn't go to Houston either. What a dumpster fire.

I understand the trade, I just hate it. The cap on me not wanting to watch this team again.

one player doesn't save a rockets defense this season. that's what really matters. And nothing says he is saying. Quit lying to yourself. you've done that for how many month now when many including myself said this injury was very serious and that you should not be expecting him back like you so adamantly believed. "Oh but Dwight had the same surgery....."

Well we stayed basically the same in the offseason and flipped from good to bad. Now we stayed basically the same through the trade deadline so we're gonna flip again...back to good, right?

    right guys?......guys? amiright?

even assuming they catch those teams. 5 seed in the east would still probably be a pick in the late teens.

not to mention, when you don't know the future landscape of your roster, you don't sign guys like dmo to long term deals for substantial amounts.

until you know what happens with howard in the offseason, you don't commit big money to the smaller guys. build your superstar core, and go from there.

I would have expected the Rockets to dump worthless players like Jones or Brewer if they just wanted to save salary but I guess the cost was too high for someone to take those guys off our hands so we traded 2 of the few bright spots on the team just to save a bit of money.

On top of that, the product on the court will still be unwatchable because no other move was made.

Trading away our main scorer off the bench, who averaged the 3rd most points for this team and receiving no player in return = stayed basically the same? Cool.

LOL....and to those that had their hopes on the DMO trade being the first move to set up another trade......

    Thanks Murray!

No it shouldn't. If they do worst case scenario and catch atlanta it will be like pick 22.
The playoff teams in the east have comparable records with the the playoff teams in the west, apart from GSW and SAS.

    IT'S NOT LIKE LAST YEAR.

I was one of them, Morey took my innocence today. *breaks out in tears and runs away*

they weren't on the level of GS/Spurs regardless of whatever move they made. That wasn't going to change.

tbh I too didn't expect TJ to still be here but if Dmo got dumped for who knows what TJ would have gotten.

Me too, considering I hated the trade to begin with....I was hoping there was some silver lining...but naw. This is the Rockets after all.

Looks like we'll have to waive Terrence now to get under the luxury tax. (So much for that first rounder malakas.) We couldn't even get a lousy top-45 protected second round pick for Terrence. And we had to send out the Denver second to get assurances that Philly would pick up Terrence when we waive him. (The Denver second was the cost for Philly to pick up both Anthony and Terrence.)

The point was that the Rockets had some hope of turning it around before no productive moves were made at the deadline AND they dumped their best PF and best bench scorer for nothing. Now there's no hope of the Rockets even being competitive and we're still suck with an unwatchable product on the court.

 If they wasted a good second so that they can waive Jones then what you are proving is that Morey is even more stupid today than I even thought.

Let's hope your info is as usual bad.

On a serious note, please tell me Morey is not actually planning this offseason around pursuing Durant.

I believe we are under the tax now with Anthony going to Philly. So we don't have to waive TJones.
