[ClutchFans] Trade Deadline won’t be able to fix all of Rockets’ problems

Or any of them apparently.

-Jones and Brewer are still on this team.
-We traded away the only "likable" guys on the team
who worked hard
-made no others moves

Keep in mind, all the teams in front of the Rockets in the lower tier of the west playoff race, didn't do anything at the deadline either. Memphis got worse (trading Lee and Gasol injury). So, IF (big IF) the Rockets get it together, maybe they can make some noise to move up to a higher seed.

And they will likely have a 1st round pick in 2016.

Trade deadline didn't fix any of the Rockets problems.

At the trade deadline the Rockets made moves to tighten their rotation.

 

The team is somehow less watchable now

 

You know, if this is all Morey did at the trade deadline.

Flush Donatas Motiejunas for what might be a decent draft pick in this draft but leave the rest of the disgruntled team together....

damn. and I was really warming up to watching Joel Anthony play.

-Maintain competitive for a playoff spot.
-Get a 2016 1st rounder.

 

Certainly less than DMo. I have a feeling that Morey shopped both and traded the one that got the best return in DMo.

Morey probably could have gotten a 2nd round pick from someone to test drive TJ, but thought it would be better to have him on the Rockets roster to compete for a playoff spot.

Rockets also have 2 open roster spots now.

 

Watch Lin and CHA crater now that we all want them to win, to stay in front of DET.
