All of you are delusional. Here are a few key points that many of you seem to be missing.

Morey has never had the opportunity to pick in the top 10. We all know that most of the players that end up becoming good to great are picked in the top 10.

There have been a number of players that Morey has picked that have turned out just fine. Here are a few off the top of my head:

    1. Chandler Parsons
    2. Terrence Jones
    3. DMO
    4. Aaron Brooks
    5. Clint Capela
    6. Patrick Patterson

Yes, I know these aren't superstars but they are all solid players that contribute. That is almost all you can expect if you are always picking in the late teens or 20s.

All anyone needs to do is go and look at prior NBA drafts to see how many bums are selected in the top 30. I'd say 75% of them don't end up making it in the league more than 5 years and if they do they are sitting at the end of the bench with no playing time.

The bottom line is that Morey hasn't hit the homerun in the draft that we've all wanted but it has more to do with where we are drafting instead of who we are drafting.

    Damage control

Look Morey's value is on the downside. His analytics were fool gold. Hes made some horrible to decent picks. The PROBLEM is he doesn't keep the decent picks because doesn't team chemistry isn't analytic stat:rolleyes:

I agree with the OP, but OP has to bring it harder than that.

Only one of those players is still on the Rockets...ONE!!!! And he sucks.

The object of drafting is to develop players and win....look at the turnover - we are a SOUND AND FURY signifying nothing team.

We trade, we trade and we trade, and we keep moving back and forth....but NEVER developing chemistry, or anything lasting.

Look at GS, and all the players they drafted on their team, then look around the league at all the players we once had that are doing well elsewhere.

Our turnover approach is killing our organization.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Morey said something after the pick like, if Marcus wasn't' there, we would have picked Markieff.

Great scouting report, draft one of the twins.

Yes, that was the one big time blunder that everyone can point to. Keep in mind many other teams passed up on him as well. If you want to point to that and conclude that Morey can't draft so be it......but missing one pick isn't a fair assessment in my opinion.

    1. Mediocre to poor 1st round drafter with a history of busts like Dekker, White and Mook over Kawhi

    2. Good 2nd round drafter.

    Overall very average drafter

Overall a mediocre GM, not top 7 as his fan boys here would call him. May be not even top 10 any more?

We made the Western Conference Finals last year. We had the roster on paper to be arguably the best team in the league this year. Look if you want to compare us to the Warriors then yes we have a long way to go but to say that we stink and we need to get rid of Morey because of 1 disappointing season then you are living in a bubble.

I'm going to start a thread about T Jones and post the stats from a few of his best games to prove why he deserves to stay on this team.

I'll go ahead and add two bits. He's had three straight 14th picks. Go look up what he dumped those for two-three seasons in.

This is also the guy that was chasing Rubio all the way up till last year. The rest of the league had caught on 5 years ago.

The Brooks pick needs to be taken off, that was all Adelman who scouted him in Oregon.

    OK, DD.

If Rockets would have kept all those draft picks you think the Rocket would have been a better team? You think those picks, who are good, would have developed into superstar or super role player talents?
