Well hopefully this doesn't bite us in the butt down the stretch. We can still make the playoffs. No one is looking forward to facing James Harden & Dwight Howard in the playoffs. At least make a run and make it worth watching for the fans.

any chance he opts in with the idea that hes worried about his value around the league?

Keep in mind, all the teams in front of the Rockets in the lower tier of the west playoff race, didn't do anything at the deadline either. Memphis got worse (trading Lee and Gasol injury). So, IF (big IF) the Rockets get it together, maybe they can make some noise to move up to a higher seed.

And they will likely have a 1st round pick in 2016.

Ok, let's see what Howard can do. Limit Harden's minutes and have Howard lead the team to the playoffs.

Awful deadline. We didn't get better, we only got one first rounder.

Well while agreed, but if being objective, what value would any of these guys have? Ty Lawson could be waived by Houston. The time to have traded the likes of Jones, Beverley, Dwight and others was last year when the team actually played well. Not getting value for him will kill our season. The Detroit pick needed to be unprotected and I am almost certain Joel Anthony will be waived and join our coaching staff.

Yes because Harden + 2 late teen draft picks + a bunch of crappy role players will be the best possible situation for Durant.

If Dwight wants a max deal... He has to play lights out. Nobody wanted to trade for him. He's gotta bust his butt the rest of this season.

I doubt it. If his body holds up the rest of the season, he'd be crazy to not opt out. Whatever deal he gets this offseason will be far better than the one he'll get a year later when he's 31 going on 32.

Came into today seriously hoping that we would get rid of Lawson, Jones, Brewer, and JET (mostly for his sake)...

But we end up trading away our only real post threat, and our only real shooter.

I kind of figured we would keep Dwight, and I'm OK with that, but other than that this deadline was a complete and utter failure.
