Rockets trade D-Mo, Thornton to Pistons for first round pick

This is Morey traded for with Dmo and Thornton?

 

Good trade.

Thornton is GONE next season.

Dmo hasnt played since last March. Injury plagued. WILL get a big contract next season based on potential. (See Kanter and Jackson)

We get a top 20 pick in return. This means we WEREN'T paying Dmo this summer and WEREN'T confident in DMO being the guy everyone wishes he would be.

Yall trippin if yall are THAT mad. It's ok to be disappointed.

 

What we know is that he is hurt more often than not. He's a tall skinny guy with back issues who is not getting any younger.

lol his shooting percentages have dropped every month

shot a good 35 percent in January and February after shooting 45 percent in December

 

DMO was walking after this season.
We freed up a roster spot.

I've defended Morey but this is the worst trade he's ever made. Traded away our 2nd best scorer for who?!

 

Malakas to me this totally reads as if the rockets are going to make a run at the playoffs and keep Dwight so they wanted a 1st round pick. They may have viewed DMO and his back as damaged goods.

 

So Morey hopes this guy to save my Rockets with his averaging 0.7pts per game?

 

thornton is a chucker. has always been.

 

People here raging without even knowing what's going on behind the scenes. Morey could be really close to a big trade and needed that 1st rounder to seal the deal.

Makes no sense to call Morey an idiot or b*** about this trade when you have no idea what's going on in trade talks right now.

 

The cap is gonna increase by 30% what do u mean they dont have money? Also detroit isnt the only player in the summer what about the 28 other teams?

You lot just cant wrap your heads around the fact that DMo wad gonna leave in the summer because other teams can afford to pay him more than the Rox . Again the Rox are trying to shed money, they dont have big contracts like the cavs, cavs are already capped so getting frye makes sense.

 

So what? Even James Harden once had 20% shooting percentage.
