Sucks when potential is never realized. Especially due to injuries.

Dmo and Thornton... those would not have been in my top 5 list to move.

Just disappointed that we still have Jones, mostly.

 

HOU must know DMo's back is going to not heal properly and are betting that DET misses the playoffs.

If we can get it around 10-16, I will have to say it is worth it.

Rockets miss the playoffs and get the top-14th pick back, now we have two mid first to play with on draft night to move up or for a disgruntled semi-star player.

 

I'm okay with this deal. DMo was good, but back injuries are no joke. As Lowe said, this return is better than other RFA's have pulled.

More moves need to be made if this is the direction we're going, though.

Silver lining to this: We get to watch DaDakota's head explode.

 

We get under the tax and get a decent pick. It's strictly a business decision. Not winning anything this year so start thinking about the future. Smart but not fun.

 

If the Rockets were concerned about DMo's health long term.
If the Rockets are really high on Harrell.
If the Rockets are maybe considering bringing Josh back.
If the Rockets get a first round pick to select another PF.

Then I guess I can see what the Rockets are doing.
