Yup listen to them. Beach boys. David bowie. Bruce Springsteen. Jimi Hendrix. King crimson. Black Sabbath. Sex pistols. Blah blah blah. I can go on naming 350+ artist 's from the 60s to present time that come from different genres such as hip hop and all of its sub genres, rock and all of its sub genres. Electronic music and all of its sub genres. I just love music. I'm very passionate about music.
So, why are you assuming what he says is true and not what Taylor Swift says? Obviously one of them is lying. I think I'd go with the guy who jumped on stage during her Grammy moment and claims he is $53 million in debt as the liar.
I'm really not into his personal life like that. I just think it's messed up that a publication would manipulate the readers with false information. This is one of the only times I ever worry about somebody's personal life. It just a really messed up attack so decided to chime in with alternative news.
Why not go with the guy who is outspoken about nearly everything in his life and isn't run by a PR machine? It just makes more sense that he'd be telling the truth when there is no incentive to lie about it.
anything kanye says should be taken with a truckload of salt. he is an entertainer and trolling everyone, one of the best trolls of ALL TIME.
One thing I'd like to clear up, the $53million debt is from every attempt of making a fashion line before getting the deal with adidas, investing in new technology, making films (crue summer film) with a 7 screen experience. As well as his expensive taste but there is no way a man can go more than 53 mill in debt from clothing, a house, food, and 3 cars I believe In my opinion he should've went on his yeezus era 6 years ago. That way he wouldn't have to all the fees from starting a fashion line on his own.
No incentive to lie? He got backlash how me "made her famous" and used a derogatory term to describe her. Sounds like incentive to lie to me. Did his PR machine write his "$53 million in debt" story? It certainly isn't generating any sympathy and making him look like a total idiot. He ought to fire that PR machine.
So, then, you believe he is lying about being $53 million in debt? EDIT - I think I misread your post. I read "clothing" as his clothing line. I now assume you meant the clothes in his closet.
No I believe most of the debt is from trying to get into other ventures other than music. I must've worded it wrong. But starting up a high fashion line cost lots of money. A film using 7 cinema screens cost a lot of money to make and screen. The dude was just trying to do it on his own. Very naive of him but he tried. I remember him saying on the infamous Sway interview that his last attempt at making a fashion line put him 13 mill in debt.
You are right, not much reason to believe Kanye. I think he could be telling the truth though. Like he has no problems with any artist...except for Taylor Swift apparently. He's worked with from Sia to Maroon 5. Not only that, what purpose does he have to call Swift fake in a private rant among his friends? If he dissed her, he dissed her. He doesn't need to explain that to them. I mean this is rap, dudes rarely back down from a diss any ways. Meanwhile though, Swift apparently has bad relations with other big names and there must be a reason for that. I mean, I'm not the first person to question this.. http://www.etonline.com/news/168829..._edward_droste_slams_taylor_swift_on_twitter/ Another artist... http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity...lor-swifts-secrets-her-fans-are-worst-2015231 Diplo and of course her main "enemy" Katy Perry So yeah, I don't think Taylor is above doing that at all either.
After her whole thing with Nick Minaj, I think that revealed who Swift was. Nicki wasn't even coming at her like that and Swift tried to turn it into some feminist thing (Which is a pattern for her) and after that whole thing..yeah she seems shady to me. It is entirely possible that she told West he could use that line and back tracked on it when she saw the opportunity there.
Man I just hope something happens to swift that exposes her for the shady person she is. On another note the TLOP on tidal is not the final version. Tidal has sent emails to those that preordered the album saying that version they attempted to purchase is the partial version. Ahhhhhhhh this is crazy. Kanye is updating an album that's already been out. I think he had to put it out early to please his fans and gave us a 80% done album
The guy has some major mental issues. Every week it's a new "feud', a tirade like the SNL action posted above, just something. It can't all be attention whoring. He needs help.
He listens to music. Just some people aren't as susceptible to hype and marketing as others. That savviness comes with age and wisdom. Bottom line - he's had a couple great albums. Couple decent, couple stinkers. You can repeat this line for about 100 other artists past and present though.
Oh, I listen to both kinds - country AND western. rep to whoever gets that reference without googling it
To be fair, if someone is being critical of rap and doesn't really have any respect for rap in the first place...as a fan of rap, why would I waste my time? I think it's a valid question to ask if a person even listens/respects rap music before engaging them in a discussion about it. You are severely under-selling the commercial and critical success Kanye has had if you think there are 100 other artists (especially rap artists) to which his career can be compared. And yes, I agree that some of Kanye's recent success (mainly critical success) has come from hype. But I also think the same about post Kid-A Radiohead .
