Harden has a resume of carrying the Rockets to 3 straight playoff appearances along with increasing win totals every single year. I wouldn't turn on him after 1 down half season.

Some just want call those that want to trade harden idiots...

I think its idiocy to waste the next x years with a guy that has no focus or desire to win... The smart move is to move him while he has value - before everyone figures out that he's fool's gold. imo...

The guy who has taken this team further than anyone not named Dream in 20+ years doesn't want to win?

If you wanna go back to .500 ball and missing the playoffs, or continuous 1st round exits, go ahead, but don't pull that **** with my team

Trade for what though ? Hard working scrubs won't put us in any better position. At least Harden is a good starting point. He can be the second best player on a championship winning team. Trade Harden and we're back at square 1.

Great article with many great points but Harden LEADS the NBA in points (7,633, next player is LeBron who is almost 500 points behind) since he arrived in Houston. He is also 8th in assists. You do whatever you have to do to find pieces that can play with him...at all costs.

Stupid. He's a 26 year old star with MUCH room to grow. Trading him will set this franchise back.

Wow.... I dunno what to say after reading that.

I get were frustrated with this year but really this was a little far off.

I love my rockets but we're getting greedy around here. We're not the freaking lakers or Spurs. We can't be picky with who we have as our superstar, who happens to be really really good.

Brian T. smith should go be a Warriors fan. How can you call harden the true mvp last year and curry the NBA golden boy and then in the same article say you traded your harden jersey for a curry autograph? What a fan boy.

When Harden leaves and he will I can almost guarantee that. We will be back to being a mediocre franchise like the NBA and apparently most fans ultimate desire. How quickly we have turned on this young superstar we have. It's pretty sad seeing as this franchise hasn't done anything since dream and harden gets here we make the playoffs his first season aquire star talent in dwight and go to the wcf!! Wow harden it's been a terrible ride with you. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

I just can't see us winning with him. He doesn't seem to have it. In the playoffs he will either show up every now and then or do his magic trick of disappearing. When Dwight came we should have made him the main guy with harden complimenting him. Run exactly what orlando did. I see that working better than putting everything on harden and hoping that he can do it for 82+. Not gonna happen

Right because he's shown he can't do that before. It's like half of you people completely forgot about last year when he had proper coaching and guidance ( Team USA and was in shape at the start of the year. He was phenomenal last year. You get him a hard nose coach before you even think about trading him.

Unfortunately Orlando Dwight is dead and he's never coming back. Dwight needs to be the 3rd guy on a team not #2 and certainly not #3.

Agreed. That part of the article was cringeworthy and detracted from his argument.

I don't know if Harden will be able to pull off a championship but what better options are available? He's a top 10 player at his worst and is our only shot at building a powerhouse (Durant?). We can't build around Dwight and I don't think anyone wants a 3-year rebuild.

His contract is an absolute bargain right now. Parsons and Tobias Harris getting paid the same as him.

He's basically still better than 99.99% of what's available in this league at the 2 guard. If the team was allowed to be coached better. Maybe we see Harden moving efficiently without the ball more often thereby retaining the energy on defense. Who knows. It's seems more clear, that it's either Harden's demands or Morey Ball that seems to put a damper on the whole matter.
