No doubt about it dwight has been a monster in the playoffs, but no reason to discredit harden. He was 27/8/6 on 62% ts in 17 playoffs games last year. Was top 3 in playoff scoring avg and did it more effecienly than the regular season while upping his assist and rebounds by a little bit. The reason why we went so far in the playoffs is because of both pur stars showing up. Had it been one or the other no way we make it to even that magical game 6 against the clips and even get the chance for brew/smith/jones to make somthing special happen. Not to mention harden owned game 7 and closed it out for us. I don't understand the constant bashing of dwight or harden. They have don't pretty damn good since teaming up together. In fact they'v done better than the clips who have Griffin/Paul/Jordan.... Us as fans have to be more patient I would not get rid of dwight and harden but rather add around them. It's a winning formula they avg 55 wins toget her before this season that's not over with and I'd be shocked I they didn't hit atleast 45 wins in a down year. Regroup go after durant if that doesn't Happen bring in some good young talent that is around hardens age and go to war with H&H. I know we a love ariza but the fact is the guy is old and on the decline. Same with brew (who I still like more than most as bench guy) Terry who brings next to nothing except for once every 5-6 games. Bev is a decent role player who should stay as a rotaions piece and maybe starter as long as we can upgrade starting SF and PF. Try and keep dmo on a favorable deal like 8-10m a year. Bring in some fresh blood ariza should still appeal to a contender and maybe we keep him if we get an upgrade. He would be great off the bench but his time as a key starter on a contender has passed imo. Jones, Terry, KJ, thornton, Lawson and one of brew or ariza need to go in exchange for better younger talent and im sure it's out there.
This thread might have jinxed the Rockets, it's looking more and more like they might get stuck with Howard.
sry dwight that we're too r****ded and pathetic to remember how to use you properly. no system no coach, r****ded team = under-performing dwight kinda your fault too since you're a beast and never demand the ball but w/e waaaaaaaaaay too much talent to give up on. i hope they dont trade this guy and instead get a real coach who can use this season to implement an actual "system" into this team thats all it needs to get back on the right path. will they do it? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO if i was a bettign man, i'd put a lotta money on dwight beasting with his next team cuz they know how to PASS HIM THE FKING BALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
im looking to make sure the rockets dont waste one of the best talents in the league cuz they're too stpuid to know how to use it
Well if they hold on to Dwight for the rest of the season then it is a wasted season and he'll walk for nothing at the end. It's basically worst case scenario for Rockets fans.
I am concerned that if he acctualy leaves the narrative for some people will be stuff like "Howard left because of Harden" or "Harden drove Howard away from Houston" or other BS like that. This would be purely a biz decision, he will opt out of his contract and will want the max and he wont get it here so we need to trade him for something or he walks in the summer for nothing.
Just getting it out of the way. Good luck on your next team. You will never win anything. Thanks for the occasional effort and some play-off moments.
imo, multi-month, premature threads like this should be locked. They serve nothing except to rehash arguments in existing threads. OP sucks
