$5k is a bit hard to find with all the fixings. My wife and I got married at Bell Tower on W. 34. The wedding planner was a major help in putting all the puzzles together for a fair price. Ask for Angie. http://thebelltoweron34th.com We did find a venue which was pretty cheap - Sweetwater Country Club in Sugar Land. You will need to budget yourself on the rest of the stuff.
Ha, wife and I got married at this place as well and Angie was our planner. She was amazing. Great Venue, they did the food, DJ, chairs, everything. We just had to get a florist, cake, photographer and officiant. The good thing about it was you get discounts when you use the ones referred to you by Angie. Plus the good price on tuxes for my boys.. BUT $5k won't even get you in the door.
I completely forgot about the discount on tuxes. I did regret having the groomsmen rent out their suits. It would have been better to just buy the suits, rather than renting them for a day. I was also surprised on how well the food turned out at Bell Tower. We weren't able to eat much, but the taste testing was a feast.
YASS!! The taste testing lol. We literally brought home like 6-7 to go boxes and had 3 meals out of it.. It was great!
Just had my taste testing this past weekend. It wasn't bad. 5K for all in is super economical, you'd be lucky if you can pull that off. And congrats breh!
I paid alot more than 5g's for my daughters wedding but that was for 150 people. We did it at ashton gardens. They provided everything we need and a list of extras for us to choose from. One thing in particular was the string ensemble. They played for an hour before the wedding. Great touch. Congrats Bro and don't let money get the way of your dream wedding. http://www.ashtongardens.com/wedding-venue-houston-west/ One more thing. They got married on a Friday night and that saved us a bunch of money too.
Our honeymoon was on Carnival cruise and I totally missed out on one of your shows during that summer!
my advice is don't spend any more money on a wedding than you need to. whether you spend a 10000000 or 100 dollars...no one will care after 2 days. keep your money..do it small..
There will be something in Dayton/Crosby/Mont B for under 5k. My friend got married in Clear Lake at villa Capri for around 7k for everything, around 100 people.
Saturday - Most expensive Friday - Cheaper Any other day - Cheapest I play occasional weddings on Sunday afternoons. If you're willing to do that, 1) you're going to have an easier time finding a place that isn't already booked and 2) it's going to be cheaper since there isn't the demand for that day of the week.
dont mean to hijack the thread but any good venues in downtown Houston? Preferably with a skyline view?
I drive by this place sometimes on the weekend. It's sort of new but it's always packed. http://www.ashtongardens.com/wedding-venue-in-houston-tx/
Petroleum Club. Not quite a skyline view, but still a good one is the Artista restaurant in the Hobby Center. There's a place that they just opened up in Buffalo Bayou Park called the Dunlavy that's pretty nice.
