I keep seeing some people say that. I don't think it's that great. MBDTF and College Dropout are clearly better to me.

I think is a great album overall, I just wouldn't put it at the top over some of his classics.

This is my list so far from top top to bottom

    1. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy 10.0

    2. Yeezus 9.7

    3. 808s & Heartbreak 9.3

    4a. Late Registration 9.2

4b. The Life of Pablo 9.2

    5. The College Dropout 8.8

    6. Watch The Throne 8.4

    7. Graduation 8.1

I wonder what genre he tries to incorporate into his next album maybe some alternative rock and trip hop would be interesting. FML really showed he could miss around with some dark post punk sounds and make sound amazing. One thing about this album is that it is his most accessible album since Graduation. I remember him saying that this album should be his Born in the USA by Bruce Springsteen. He then said that he wanted to do a polar opposite to Yeezus just like Bruce did with Nebraska (one of my favorite Folk albums) and Born in the USA. Kanye accomplished that I'm seeing the general public love this album.

No love for Graduation? That's when Kanye became Kanye.

I like it just not my go to kanye pop record
When compared to his other pop records Watch the Throne and The Life of Pablo it just doesn't really compete

....I love flashing lights and can't me nothing tho

I would honestly think it would be awesome to see all you guys list. I really think we'd see a lot of different list posted considering all his albums are different.

Haven't listened to a Kanye album all the way through since late registration
Haven't listened to a Kanye song since no church in the wild.

And it's solely for the reason that his persona has just become so dumb. He's a caricature of himself at this point. Dude is a whack job.

I can't imagine anything he did is better than college dropout.

Don't let an artists public persona cloud your judgement over their music. It's the wrong way to go about it. Listen to music for the music. Just give kanye or any artist you find appalling, a chance. Kanyes discography really has no low points in my opinion.

It's so hard to rank his albums. This is probably what I'd go with, but I'm not going to lie, it changes from time to time since they're all so good. MBDTF is easily his best work to me though. That was truly a masterpiece.

    1. MBDTF
    2. College Dropout
    3. Graduation
    4. Late Registration
    5. TLOP
    6. WTT
    7. 808's
    8. Yeezus

I didn't count Cruel Summer since it was basically a GOOD Music collaboration.

The production on this album is amazing, and although he's never really been a lyrical rapper, his lyrics are mediocre on this album. Chance and Kendrick had the best verses. It's a good album but no way I can rank it over his 4 classics.

Why is it the wrong way to go about it?

I listened to parts of Graduation and it was good, but a letdown compared to College Dropout and Late Registration. I tried listening to 808's & Heartbreak (what was it 8 years ago?) and that album was garbage. I figured he jumped the shark after that.

But I liked a few of the songs on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy though. I probably should have listened to that one all the way through.

After that though, his persona just turned me off too much.

This album seems to be pretty good from reviews though.

I've loved his evolution as a musician. Lyrically he has never been stronger than his original trilogy, but his production has become a focal point. I really do think he is the most important musician alive, despite his persona. His discography will be looked upon as the gold standard for production based hiphop.

Wolves and Ultralight Beam may be my favorite songs he has ever done. TLOP is Kanye allowing other musicians to take a bit of the shine, bookending what the original album tracklist with Chance and Frank, who are immense talents and Kanye allows them to shine at the beginning and the end of what is a beautiful production.

    1. yeezus
    2. mbdtf
    3. TLOP (obviously could change with time, but this is my initial reaction after about 5 listens)
    4. Watch the Throne
    5. Graduation
    6. Late Registration
    7. 808s
    8. College Dropout
