Whatever you think about Trump, the man does not hold back. He unloaded on W today regarding wmds and mistakes in going to Iraq, essentially calling W a liar. That was something to watch.
What if I think he's an entitled ******* who only makes increasingly despicable comments to excuse the ones he made immediately before, does that negate his not holding back?
I think we can all agree that Trump is a loudmouth, arrogant b*stard. That is a given. What was surprising tonight is how he openly dissed on the last republican president, in all places S.C., a very red state, which still regards W in very high esteem. Pure entertainment.
It'll be interesting to see if there will be any fallout over his comments about Iraq and 9/11. It would be deliciously ironic if some of his supporters were to finally abandon him the one time he says something (more or less) true.
A while ago, there were a couple of posters who thought Trump was not really a serious candidate for potus, and I thought that was crazy talk. After yesterday's performance, I am not so sure who is right. I mean, what Trump said about Iraq, Bush 43, and Planned Parenthood would be tantamount to political suicide. There is no way Trump doesn't get hurt on this, correct?!?!
False. Trump is Trump. He's going to say what comes to mind and those voting for him aren't going to change there mind. Rubio is going to make it tough for Trump to win. Cruz disappeared last night.
Trump's comments about W during a debate in South Carolina will hurt him badly. Would not be surprised if he fell dramatically in SC polling. The timing couldn't have been worse.
I think you're right about South Carolina specifically, but I'm not sure that this will be much more than hiccup at the national level (unless he doesn't learn anything from it, which is entirely possible). But who the hell really knows?
You shouldn't overestimate the intelligence of Trump supporters. Trump could murder 50 babies on stage and those r****ds would still support him. Honestly Trump supporters should be sterilized to protect future generations.
