Horford would be my first choice, because I think he could help a ton in terms of our offensive cohesion and chemistry. Plus he's a great team player on both ends, even if he's not the rebounding/defensive presence Dwight is inside. Our problem on D is not necessarily talent, it's communication (and effort, in Harden's case).

But I don't see ATL doing that, for whatever reason. I'd be fully behind the Noah/Gibson/1st deal (I've also seen Pau/Gibson rumors). I think Gibson is a near-perfect fit for the PF spot here, with his mid-range game, motor, physicality and mobility on D. He's not a star, but he's the type of role-player we need, and especially at the PF spot. Noah is a shell of his old self, but he can still rebound and defend, and he could be the locker-room leader we need. Plus he's expiring, so if he turns out to be a success in a limited role, maybe we bring him back, but if not, no worries.

The Rockets were interested in Noah before Codman jinxed him with an injury.

Yes, he's out for the year, but if he could be acquired with Taj Gibson and a draft pick? At least we'd have Taj Gibson. Then you could make a decision on Noah and a new contract in the offseason (I think he's too injury-prone myself, seems like he's always running off the court with one arm hanging from a flap of skin....)

Can't wait to see Dwight got trade and leave this sorry ass team.

And btw the facts remain : for all the teams since Dwight left, either by free agent or trade, have never been able to reach back to the playoff yet.

    LOL

That's the case for every team that's lost a star player

    Very smart observation smh.

well the Jazz who lost their star about the same time are about to make the playoffs.

But the Magic are still very young and most of their best talent is age : 20 21 and 20. So yeah. Young teams don't win.
Not when you projected starters average age are bellow 25. (if you exclude ofc when Skiles had a brainfart and had Frye in).

So it's not some kind of curse.

those who do not want to trade dwight are delusional.

it actually looks like we can get a solid package in return with MULTIPLE teams reporting interest. How accurate they are is anyones guess but the facts are this team assembled is currently heading toward the lottery and dwight is definitely not going to resign.

it's best for all parties involved. no bad blood between us and dwight. It's clear MOST rockets fans appreciate his time here and are sad it didn't work out.

    Ha!

    I missed those reports.

I've seen reports that Boston, Toronto, Charlotte are NOT interested. Memphis/Dallas doesn't have the assets. Atlanta/Chicago/Cleveland/Miami, so far, is just message board talk. Sacramento is trading you Cousins.

Age + injury + money/contract all working against Dwight/any potential Rockets deal.

If it involved Avery Bradley as well as the Dallas and Boston 1st rounders? You'd have to look at it.
