Just the way Cruz talks indicates this guy is full of it. I mean, how gullible and naive could his followers be? And it's not only his words that predicate that.

Because the subject (centrally the thread topic) is not trending to his liking. You just can't hide the real Ted Cruz long enough for him to get enough delegate traction, IMO. But we'll see.

I blame David Dewhurst for this whole mess. If he hadn't run the worst campaign imaginable, Ted Cruz would just be another nobody in Texas.

Cruz better win SC. That might be Cruz or anybody else's last chance, as Trump is gonna steamroll through the primaries easily. The other possibility is that Trump is doing this just for show and is not really a serious candidate, which seems less plausible at this time.

best part of this is Chuck Todd making reflexive grunting sounds to try and disrupt the point Cruz is making

The grunts are funny; the nonstop hyperbole and exaggerated language from the Senator is a bit much. But then again, he's trying to scare voters in South Carolina, so it's smart.

They should be scared, for the reasons that Senator Cruz mentioned.

Well, I suppose we disagree again.

I think people should be afraid when facts suggest something terrible could happen.

However, as in this case, when they encounter gross exaggerations and hyperbole, they should recognize that as a sort of rhetorical device, and move on with their days, looking for facts.

One Senate-approved supreme-court justice will not suddenly mean "removing" the 2nd amendment in the nation. That's just absurd. It will not be rescinded.

If the senate sees and hears such a radical person put before them -- and I have not heard a serious public official of any kind ever advocate deleting the second amendment, btw -- well by all means, they should vote that person down and ask for a new nominee with more mainstream understandings of our country and its laws.
