Insider at Kings Forum. Malakas has told the story before, he was run out from there. But the offer mentiones here was Gay+Koufos for Dwight.

Don´t really like it. Perimeter players around Harden should have above average 3pt shooting. An area where Rudy is a downgrade from Ariza.

No. That's not informed NBA fans. That's fans who buy the media propaganda or Laker/Olrando fanboys.
What fanchise has Dwight exactly killed? I see them all well.
Or do you expect a player to spend all his career in the same team just coz.?

Especially if this is coming from a Lakers fan who have looted and stole young star talent from all the other teams for DECADES, is extremely ironic.
wow. That's very alarming. Did they try to get each other traded? Ididn't know that.
And that Terry quote that you have to go away from each other...

I don't believe they have been trying to get each other traded, but I do believe they have not been on the same page a lot. Only for parts of last year, when Dwight accepted a lesser role after coming back, did it work. The marriage has never worked and that's on the coaches and Harden more than on Dwight. The only thing in this relationship that I blame Dwight for is the lack of commitment to the pick-and-roll. We could be deadly if he really wanted to. Then again, if he wasn't ignored so much, he might have been willing to. Both Dwight and Harden do not have the best mentality and personalities to make this work. It's too bad..

It's outta my control is the most I expect from an nba player to say about trade rumours involving teammates and probably is the equivalent of admittance.

Sources say Howard, Horford moves unlikely for Celtics

Despite escalating buzz with next Thursday’s trade deadline approaching, though, the Celtics are taking a cautious, measured approach. According to league sources, Boston is reluctant to mortgage its future in exchange for players who could become free agents at season’s end. The Celtics are content to move forward without making a trade, and they will be careful not to get caught up in an unnecessary bidding war.

“This team is not in it for the short term,” one league source said.

The Celtics have been linked to Rockets center Dwight Howard and Hawks forward Al Horford, both of whom could be available on the trade market. But sources said the Celtics are unlikely to acquire either player before Thursday’s deadline.

The Celtics currently have almost no interest in trading for Howard, 30, a talented center with a history of back issues and a questionable work ethic. He can opt out of his contract at season’s end, and even if he wanted to re-sign with Boston, the team would have reservations about offering a long-term deal. Also, Howard is not viewed as a player who would help attract another top free agent to Boston this summer.

Classic Danny Ainge. He's not a sucker. He will not let Morey off easy.

Johnson and Thomas aren't exactly Harden and Howard :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Johnson's efficiency dips with usage. It's not clear that Thomas can be your best player. If they wanted to stick with Thomas because they need offense, then package Smart or Bradley instead. With two of their three guards and Howard manning the middle, that's a formidable team in the East.

I think the below makes sense for all teams:
Of course you can maneuver players around to make it work:

Cleveland in: Dwight Howard, Trevor Ariza
Celveland Out: Kevin Love, Varejao or any one on their Roster not names Lebron and Irving

    Clippers in: Kevin Love
    Clippers out: Blake Griffin

    rockets in: Blake Griffin, ?
Rockets out: Dwight Howard, Trevor Ariza

I'm somewhat surprised the Raptors have no interest.

Yeah, Valanciunas is pretty close to Dwight right now... but I think Dwight is still clearly the superior player.

It'd be hard to make a deal work financially, but it would not be hard to see the Raptors "go for it".

This or some variation thereof (say with Al Horford to Clippers adn Dwight to Hawks) has been the thing I'd most like to see done.
But you of course have to have the Clippers ready to move on from Blake, which still seems almost virtually impossible.

Is Howard someone you would like to commit a 5 year max money deal too? If Howard was looking for around 10 mil next year it would be a different story more teams would want him.

IT's an all star signed to a deal for the next two seasons a 6.5 mil per. Would you rather have DH at 25+ million or IT at 6.5 mil? Same goes for Bradley who is signed to another team friendly deal the next two season at 8.5 mil and Smart is a PG of the future under the teams control for another 6 or 7 years.

Howard is only worth what another team will trade for him. His health is a major concern as well as his FT shooting and the idea that he is looking for a max deal. Howard stock has never been lower. We arent talking about 25 year old Howard his value isn't the same as it once was
