I agree. Most would do the same if you are smart. He gets paid ridiculous money to play a game! It's also more a business in the NBA these days. I'm not surprised given his circumstances. He did take less to come here.I don't blame him!!

Let's not be stupid people!! Let's just hope your "in Morey we trust" pulls a rabbit out the hat or not.

I can't understand why everyone is getting so pissed...

    This is Business.....

Decisions have to be made since the Rockets are sliding down on the standings, especially with Howard.

Howard knows this is his last contract and he wants to get paid (business).

Morey knows Howard is going to opt of his contract so he has to to try and get some return on Howard. (business)

So I can't understand why everyone is getting upset?

Sports today is nothing like it was 20 or 30 years ago with the loyalty, for both sides it's about business.

I guess loyalty is overrated nowadays. T_Man, you're fired.

    Spot on.
    And it goes both ways.
Not many 1 team players anymore. Loyalty has nothing to do with it. If a player declines, despite their loyalty, then the team ships them out for something better.
    Happens in all sports.

For the record T_Man, that was just satire. Nothing against you personally. It sucks what the league has become nowadays.

    All good...

I agree with you about the league... But it's not just the league it's the world period.

I work in IT.. My company bought out a contracting company after 3 months they saw that they were losing money so they had to get rid of a group...

They got rid of the internal group who were loyal, built the applications that enabled the company to move forward. I learned then that it's all business and that I would never rely on any company for anything....

The same thing goes with these athletes.. They realize that they have to get what they can get while they can get it.... The owners are just like fans... What have you done for me lately.. So I say good luck to you Howard and I hope you get what you can and thank you for the 2 playoff runs..

    Howard for the money...

Harden, because he's fools gold... Bring in guys with heart, dedication and that are hungry to win.

Dwight and Fegan lie - they did it in Orlando, in LA, and now in Houston, it is pure PR spin.

WOJ has it nailed they are asking for a trade so Dwight can get paid. Can't blame them either, and can't blame Morey for getting what he can for him.

Just saving face just like he tried in Orlando. Good luck fielding a max offer from any team with a shot at winning Dwight

Like you stated this has been played before by Dwight and Fegan. Morey should do the right thing and get what he can for Dwight because he will bolt for the max.

I'd let him walk in the summer (barring him re-signing for cheap which isn't gonna happen) unless we can get expiring contracts and picks right now. So we can package those for something later.

The only trade for someone who will be here through this year I'd pull would be if through some voodoo we get Horford and Teague both, with some sort of indication that Horford will re-sign.

Then sign Barnes in the summer along with whoever you can get out of D-Mo/Anderson/Ezeli.

    That's our best chance.

Bye Howard. I will miss your playoff play, but I won't miss how unfairly you and other bigs are/were officiated. Won't miss his horrible FT shooting

    Can we get Asik back?

    Let's be realistic.

We're not getting much in return for a fat shooting guard who is also the worst defender in the league.
