Would you trade Ariza/Dwight for Kevin Love?

  1. Yes. Dwight is a goner anyways and Love is really good.

  2. No, I don't think that trade is worth it and am not as high on Love.

Who cares. Thats by far the best value you can get. Beggers cant be choosers. If he doesnt fit you will have multiple teams throwing assets to get him.

would rather try to buy low on Griffin since clips seem to do better without him...

i see we have a ton of cleveland fans. would love to see what the defensive effort between harden and love would be like. that alone makes me want to see it happen.

Lol that there's people here thinking that if Love doesn't fit other teams will give up good pieces for him in the offseason.

Yeah, after he's been a failure in 3 separate places I'm sure teams will be lining up to give their young talent for him.

I bet Minny is having a big laugh that they snatched Wiggins away for Love.

Do you honestly think there's any move trade out their involving Dwight that will put us in contention this year? I don't.

You maximize value, see if Love and Harden can work together, and if not you see what you can get in return for Love. Or Hell, maybe KL comes here, puts up 23/12, and we can seriously think about moving Harden.

For a team looking to trade picks and young players for a star, Love has more value than Dwight on a $22MM expiring deal. It just so happens that for Cleveland, a team trying to win this year, Dwight has more value than Love.

You're doing that thing where you childishly overstate your argument by dotting it with hyperbole, and it badly hurts your credibility.

Some people really need a reminder of how great Kevin love is. Dude is a walking 20-20 if used properly. The best outlet passer in the nba to start/finish the fast breaks. Everybody just needs a reminder of how great he is.

Yeah because there are so many stars and stretch fours lying around everywhere. lol at you.

Hut it doesnt matter because cleveland most likely doesnt consider this trade.

What they should do if they dont want love is trade him to the pistons for kcp ilyasova stanley johnsons amd a first or to boston for olynyk amir crowder and a couple of firsts.

Not to mention he had a 50 something consecutive double double streak which is ridiculous. He is like harden they may be what they are defensively but they are absolutely money on the offensive side at a very high elite level. It would all be about getting 100% effort out of them on the defensive side.

    How about the basis of..

    Cleveland get Howard
    Clippers get Love
    Rockets get Griffin

Other players will be included but those are the main pieces. Griffin is the best player but has the maturity issue. Howard immediately helps Cleveland. Love would be a great fit next to DJ and would be amazing with Paul.

Yeah think Morey will be after Love...not crazy over players with back issues though..but it might make KD blink.

However..cavs are 10-3 lately...tough to mess with that.

It's a fair trade if the Cavs send back Mozgov and filler as well, either Shumpert or JR Smith. If we get back Shumpert and Mozgov, there's potential to get better defensively.

Having Kevin Love is kind of a double-edged sword, he gives us another dynamic scorer, yet he's absolutely atrocious on defense.

Im on board with this sentiment about Ariza. His constant gambling on defense puts others out of position often. I think he's an above average defender when hes not gambling as much though.

Most of this board has been crying for the past few months (rightly so) that this season is a failure. James and Dwight have been flagged as "not good" enough for a hodgepodge of reasons. They've "failed."

Yet even though this board thinks they are "failures" these two players have been to the finals with teams other than the Rockets, while being leaders on those teams. In addition, they've been to the WCF as leaders of the Rockets.

    Kevin love has objectively:
    1) Failed in Minnesota - failing to make the playoffs even once, while having a very talented team and a coach that this board regularly pines for in Adelman.
    2) Failed in Cleveland - being unable to play a diminished role, even with arguably the (second) best player of all-time on his team in LeBron

    The guy is a loser.

Trading Dwight for him would not solve anything.
    I'd rather explore other scenarios.

    Nothing I've said is hyperbole.

    That would be ideal.

Harden and Griffin would be leathal in the pick n roll. Griffin is a great passer.

Grab a spot up shooter in the corner at sf who can play a little defense and that team could win a lot of games.

I still think harden can be the best guy on the very good championshi team.

Just watching him battle gs the other night getting guys open looks left and right. With Griffin that would be a winning formula. You would have to get the right role players around them but it could potentially be huge and pay off big.
