Sources: Houston has started contacting teams about trading Dwight Howard

Old Timmy plays center this year and is not only better than Dwight he's freaking DPOY caliber player. He's better than all the other Centers.

Bogut is better in defence than Dwight. Gobert (Another playoff team) is better in defence than Dwight. Noah when he was alive was better in defence than Dwight.

Jordan and Drummond are both worse than Dwight defensively.

No one in the media believes Howard anymore after his bungling of damn near everything at the end of his time in Orlando. I just hope the Rox don't have their own Dwightmare media circus coming.

Thing is Harden and when we had Lin were both top of the league in pick and roll efficiency, but Harden rarely runs it anymore. Coaching? Harden? Dwight? Someone is at fault here.

Sorry mate, I don't read every post on the board! But you really do think those 3 are a better 'win now' prospect over Dwight.

Can't see your point of view, doesn't make any sense to me at all, sorry. It sounds (to me) like the sort of thing someone might say about the Rockets 5 years ago: 'Scola and Martin are more valuable to the Rockets than Pau Gasol'. True, those 3 have good output, but the fit for Dwight in Cleveland (right now) seems better (to me).

 

Don't mess up that max contract offer, keep the image clean for next team big dawg #dwightmare

 

Said it when we got him, he does not compliment Harden. Had to go get him, but time to get what you can for him.

And Dwight is lying, just like Orlando, just like LA, he doesn't EVER want to look like the bad guy...he is PR focused.

Don't trade Dwight. Trade the role players. All of em

 

Stop it. Dwight was a monster in the playoffs. Don't try to make yourself look right. The old DD is slowly but surely coming back.

 

I see this as a GM doing his due diligence before the deadline, even if we don't want to hapay Dwight max money this offseason. That said, this team needs a leader. We know it's not Dwight and Harden is too...well he's just not the leader type. We need KD and to get him, we need Dwight or a damn good package if he's traded, which I don't see happening.

 

Tim Duncan is technically a PF. he is actually listed as one of the greatest PF's of all time. he can hit his free throws and make long range shots. He has also missed double digit games and they replace him with David West another PF.

So then you replace Bogut and Gobert for the two I mentioned and that makes only two playoff teams who have centers better than Dwight defensively. That leaves 14 teams who have a center that play less defense than Dwight but they have better records than we do. Dwight is not irreplaceable.

 

After trading Dwight, do you think it is too late to tank for a 5-10 draft pick? I love Buddy Heilds fire and fearlessness.
