our fastbreaks are completely terrible as well. It can be a 4 on 2 and a layup isn't even taken because the wrong pass was initiated. So frustrating

I said partly, you acted like it was not his fault at all. Apparently not.

What you're getting wrong is that we can replace Howards defense this year. His defense has declined we can replace his defense and get someone who will make it much Harder to guard Harden.

you jumped into a response for someone who completely dismisses DH defensively who doesn't sound like they know what is the correct play or not.

It's always the tough choice for a big when other players get in the lane. But I'm definitely not going to agree with a post where it says goes for every block.

you're not going to find a player of equal value and everything Howard brings to this team.

You don't really think that Olynyk, Crowder, Zeller is a better option for Cleveland to 'win now' than Dwight?

No doubt it is a better future in 3 years, but they might start to worry about that when Lebron is done. Why waste his time with more role players? Dwight is like the ultimate Mozgov for them, would be perfect protecting the paint and finishing in close.

If I'm Cleveland I'd plump for Dwight over those 3 (right now). Maybe if I was Houston and had the option of trading Dwight for Love or those 3, I would go for those 3... tricky situation all round.

Oh, you're just going to ignore the shot blocking supremo Corey Brewer at the 4 spot?

C'mon people, think before you post.

Good guy, but a WWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY overrated player. He's basically a slightly more athletic Kevin Willis.

He embraced the city, which is cool and all, but it's time for him to move on.

I didn't say everything. I said his defense. Getting a solid defensive center is easy in todays NBA. The Rockets need to worry more about a PF and someone who can help run our offense and get their own shots. I like Dwight but really he doesn't take pressure off of Harden. So what you guys see as selfish is really Harden knowing he's the only one who can create. Just because he is the only one who can create doesn't mean he wants to be the only guy. Harden was the one who asked for Lawson not Mchale not Howard.

I'm not in any way convinced Cleveland would want to trade Kevin Love.

easy? I completely disagree. True Defensive bigs that can play 30+ minutes and hold their own is not something too common these days but hey if you're happy with going towards the route of simply trying to outscore opponents enjoy. Because that's not going to win anything anytime soon besides a few games in the regular season if you're lucky.

To be fair, the guy has been playing out of position half the season.

He has the top defensive box score +/- on the team. Sure, it is a weird stat to use to compare across teams, but looking at in these stats for players on the same team tells at least some kind of story.

He is also 3rd in defensive win shares, and 2nd in defensive rating (for our team). Sure, Dwight beats him in 2 of those 3 stats, but really they are guys playing the same position, and one might fairly assume Capela is on the way up in the future, Dwight not so much...

It is Capela's offensive side of things which has dropped off more than the defensive (in recent weeks). I'm willing to give him a pass and say 'rookie-ish' wall. Give him more time down the stretch and he may be a legit starting defensive stopper next season.

Rockets center Dwight Howard, reached Friday by ESPN, says in reference to earlier statement from his agent Dan Fegan: "Dan's statement is true. I have not asked the Rockets to trade me. Nor have I talked about right trades. I want to win. I want this situation to work. I chose this team. And I'm not running because we have been faced with some adversity."
