Too late for that. Does not deal Howard will lose out big time this Summer and the rest of this season.

Totally agree. Morey will overturn every rock to find the best value.

jesus christ no - the whole dwightmare thing was media fabrication. Dwight handled himself professionally when leaving LA - he was pretty much traded to the nets and to the Rockets in orlando apparently as well.

this probably would be the same if he is with the Rockets past the deadline he'll opt out and be a FA. He has been a professional his entire time here in Houston.

Considering he doesnt have too many years left I believe Dwight is going to do what he things best in two ways:

    1) financially
    2) being able to get a ring

he always took a large step in turning down a final year (though of course he opted out) in coming to Houston -- you rarely see a star player do that. So I am sure this time around he'll want a higher dollar deal but at the same time its clear the pairing was not going to work out in Houston. Personally I put more of that on Harden being the primarily ball handler/playmaker and supposed leader.

Is kevin durant entertaining the idea of coming here like melo, bosh, and lowry. Give him whatever he wants. Who else are we going after? Dwight can still put up big numbers in a real system with a coach that knows what the heck he is doing.

Id love to get Horford, Korver for Dwight but I think we are dreaming.

something like David Lee, Avery Bradley probably works and then buyout Lee. Are we confident enough in Capella to take full mins?

When we 3 years ago I was confident almost positive we were going to win a championship within 5 years. Now I'm not so sure it'll happen in the next 10. Oh how the mighty have fallen.

I'm sure he'll never say it, but its fairly obvious that he simply cant coexist with Harden. Harden stagnates the offense way too much and depends on holding onto the ball for long periods of time. Part of me wishes we would move on from Harden, but like others I realize he's younger and has the greater ceiling at this point.

If he gets traded, I can't wait to see the meltdown here when everyone is underwhelmed by the return.

If it's Boston it'll probably be Crowder, Olynyk, David Lee, plus a 1st (not Brooklyn's).

Personally, I'd like to have Jae Crowder, Olynyk could be good off the bench, and Lee is expiring to make salaries match.

If it's Miami I can see something like Dwight and Ariza for Dragic, Deng, and Winslow. Maybe even Whiteside too.

I wish we could get the Knicks fans to pressure management into trading for Dwight like they did with Me7o, but Phil Jackson won't fall for that.

The best trades I can think of that are somewhat realistic, in my opinion

To washington for Oubre + 1st + Dudley expiring + Nene expiring (washington must have found another deal for Gortat)

To Bulls for Sacramento first, Bulls first + Taj Gibson + some useless filler (depends how desperate Gar is of losing his job, and how Reinsdorf wants to make his $ by making the playoffs)

To Orlando for Vucevic (Vucevic is problematic for Orlando because they don't have a good defensive pf and Skiles is impatient) or Oladipo + Frye (Orlando must trade elsewhere Vucevic)

To Atlanta for Horford expiring (very unlikely because Dwight doesn't fit Bud's system and Bud is the GM)

To Boston for Lee + 2 low firsts or lee+ 1 first + Bradley (not easy to make a deal because of Ainge)

To Miami for Whiteside + Dragic probably Dwight (who knows what Riley will do?)
That's not preferable because it takes us almost out of the Durant sweepstakes if we ever want to resign Whiteside.

To Charlotte for their first top 3 protected + MKG + Al Jef expiring

That's all I can think of right now.

I have a hard time believing anyone is going to give dwight the full bird rights max, which, I assume, would need to be agreed upon before doing this deal. If anything, this is another way for Morey to get an early jump on speculating what Dwight will get in the open market this offseason.

Great point, did not see the asset exchange part of the deal.

I think he is going to try and trade it, just business reasons, relationship with Fegan, PR, etc.
