If anyone needs to go, it's Ty, Brewer, and Jones. Dwight deserves better, but those other guys are just taking up space at this point.

Kinda of what Cyber is saying. He wants a max deal period and the balls in the rockets court.

100% agree. As a man, Dwight came to this city, embraced it, tried tried to do well while he was here. I wish things were difference.

The good thing about him wanting the 5 year deal is whoever is trading for him is knowing that they are pretty much a lock to re-sign him if they wanted to.

And any team willing to trade for him will do so knowing they want to keep him (barring him being a total disaster to end the season). Gives Morey more of a chance to ask for assets since it won't be a rental.

This situation is very similar to Dragic's situation last year. The Suns were able to get two first rounders out of him. I would expect Dwight to have at least as much value, if not more.

That sounds like window dressing. I get it......they don't want Dwight to appear to be a malcontent again.

We're very close to hard cap, trading $30mill for other players won't be easy.

    That's why I say Celtics/Lee/fillers or magic/Harris/fillers

    Simple

    1. Dwight wants a max.
    2. Rockets don't want to give him the max

Conclusion: Dwight or Fegan did not request a trade but Morey wants to move him because Rockets won't give Dwight the max

why take the first deal possible? There is still a full week till trade deadline. Besides with Dwight what would the Magic do with Vucevic? He can't play C.

Let them boil a bit, leak and raise the competition and see who makes the best offer.

So what I'm getting is that Dwight would re-sign with Houston, but on the expectation of getting a (near) max contract offer from Daryl. If Morey can't do that for Dwight and potentially low ball Dwight, then Dwight would prefer to be somewhere else where he will be paid what he feels he deserves to be paid.

    Can't hate Dwight for that.

There's a reason Draymond Green got a huge contract, and it's not because he complains about every call.

He's not privy to what the rockets are or not doing? What a weird thing for an agent to say.

Dragic's max is 16 per. (or around that) and Dwight's max is 30 per. The difference is very big.

Another difference to our favour is that Dwight according to Cyber doesn't have such a llimited selections. (Dragic only wanted like 3-4 teams)

Yeah, I imagine Morey will sit on Dwight and go with the cap space in the offseason rather then make a bad trade.

One thing is certain though, Dwight is not getting a max from the Houston Rockets. Not while Morey is GM.

Cuban is laughing his ass off right now.

McHale being fired, Dwight being traded, 500 record, all of it is on Harden. All of it. Not even T-Slack screwed the pooch this badly.
