You have to let players play through their mistakes, imagine if we benched Harden every time he had 5 turnovers, he would never be in a game. DD
Dang I didn't know he got 4 games in. How did he do DD? I only saw the first one were he put up 10/7 in 20 min.
This is exactly what happened. So little here remember that DMo showed clear signs at the end of his 2nd year. Not playing a second against Portland was devastating to watch. Especially when Jones was allowing 50 points per game to LMA. By the end of that series 95% of Clutchfans were begging McHale to play DMo. Didn't happen.
Yup. LMA's stats from that series against T-Jones (while a good defender DMo was sitting on the bench): Game 1: 46pts, 18rebs Game 2: 43pts, 8rebs Game 3: 23pts, 10rebs Game 4: 29pts, 10rebs Game 5: 8pts, 8rebs Game 6: 30pts, 13rebs 29.8ppg, 11.2rpg
People still fabricating the truth around here is so darn comical. Dmo got benched because of his piss poor defensive rotation in his sophomore year. Mchale gave him plenty of opportunities and the young man at that time didn't take advantage. Year three is when he took advantage by improving on both ends of the court. Another thing Jones was not the only holding LMA in the playoffs. So please get your facts straight around here. Did LMA abuse the 1st year starter, heck yeah and he supposed to do that. Dmo wouldn't have done any better either. Lol at y'all that really thinks otherwise. Where talking about a proven veteran scorer who is one of the best power forwards in today's game, going up against two inexperienced finally cracking the rotation sophmores. Get really Super Fans.
You got nothing to lose with giving Dmo a shot. Worst case he would've made Lma break a sweat on the Defensive end.
No, worst case scenario is all the DOF's finding out that their hero is just a mere role player on the same level as Jones. Nothing more. He just makes it look better.
He didn't save us the first time he came back this season. He looked just as awful as everyone else. He won't get a big contract unless he proves himself healthy, big being 10M per year or more. If he looks as bad as he did in his first comeback, expect him to take the qualifying offer.
Lol. Dude you don't know sports. You think Cardale Jones will be a good pro. Get outta here with that garbage.
It should be fairly obvious that even at 50% he is our best option at PF at the moment. That's how its going to be unless DM finds a way to land Ryan Anderson.
I have no idea what you're bumbling on about in regards to "fabricating the truth." D-Mo was coming on strong during the last month two years ago. He was a regular rotation member playing key minutes until the last game of the season. His defensive lapses had started to improve a lot by then and he was already better in that area than Jones. Then McHale decided not to play him in the playoffs at all and instead went solely with Jones. Feel free to go back and watch the games before you spout nonsense about others "fabricating the truth." It's not anyone else's fault you fail to remember the facts.
Terrence was anointed the starter and remained the starter [over DMo] in 2013-14 simply because he was the choice of James and Dwight. This will eventually become public knowledge down the road after Terrence (and perhaps James and Dwight) is gone. McHale made the official "decision" but he chose Terrence because Terrence was their preference. Terrence did not outperform DMo and earn the spot. In fact, to the contrary, DMo was torching both Dwight and him in practice. (Actually if a reporter asked McHale a question directly about what he could recall about Terrence and DMo competing for the starting PF spot next to Dwight that season, McHale may just go ahead and let the cat out of the bag on how all that went down now. Or he'd at least provide some clues to corroborate what I'm saying here.)
I remember him being fairly terrible, completely unable to not fall over in game. Final month of the season shows him shooting 38% from the floor, 10% from 3. From the box score alone, I can see only two games that aren't absolutely abysmal. This looks like a case of revisionist history.
If this is true, then D Mo's play in 13-14 didn't correlate with his practice prowess. He was much better in 14-15, when he earned the starter spot.
