McHale was lackluster overall but he was actually pretty decent in close games. He usually knew what line ups to use. Having the refs respect for being a hall of famer probably helped too. We had a stellar record in close games last season. Bickerstaff seems clueless and since he's a rookie the refs don't respect him or our team anymore.
I say there's a 50% chance he's gone during the all-star break. If Morey wants to take this season seriously (and he should since you never know if Dwight wants to opt out), he needs to find a real coach for this team. Thibodeau is the obvious choice because defense is clearly the team's biggest weakness now that it's shored up its offense.
My people need answers, the people are confused. Would one of you fine gentleman please create poll thread asking who is to blame. Candidates are Morey, JB, Harden, and Les.
Do you really think firing ANOTHER coach is going to help this team? Besides what coach would take a team that has fired two coaches in one season?
That's kind of exactly what he is when the owner has publicly committed to him for the rest of the season.
Didn't know this Malakas. Thanks. Interesting timing more than anything, as it was inevitable. We should be putting out the feelers for any deals that net us PJ Tucker and Goodwin/Knight or Warren imo
I don't know JB, so I would be wrong if I said I liked him. I'm just indifferent to him, I was hoping for more, but actually getting less. Once I saw him at D12 bday party acting like one of the boys, I knew it was done deal records. This team has refused to play any team D for the 2 coaches. Also, it is painfully clear that teams are now saying PBev, JSmoove, Cbrewer, and Tjones can have all the shots they want and we will live with the results. Pack the lane and let them fire away from 3 and watch those long rebounds turn into fast breaks for the other teams.
Let's see, we're complete ass on defense while our offense returned to form. Seems to me we're a good defensive coach away from transforming into a more complete team. Thibodeau it is
"They're kids . . . scare 'em." "They're kids . . . scare 'em." JB needs to watch Bull Durham. <iframe width="480" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/PnIaqAsnSxU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Straight up SABOTAGE. The amount of totally undeserved playing time Bickerstaff gives to Lawson is reprehensible. And zero minutes to Terry? AND he starts Brewer? We were starting Thornton earlier in the season, why did we go away from that?
I mean, he's done a decent job this season he's done some good things but he didn't make the right adjustments tonight. I also think it was a mistake not using Josh instead of Capela for all those minutes. 20/20 I guess. No one has won on their home court so meh. It's the least of our problems.
i'm trying to understand the logic behind playing brewer exceptionally heavy minutes in a game where he is a big negative across the board. playing capela over smith i can maybe see his reasoning on that one. but brewer was just a F UP on both sides of the ball smh
I get the feeling he was trying to see what we looked like with Lawson against the Warriors. Josh Smith not playing tells me either he was injured or JBB is looking to hide a weapon.
This bumbling idiot failed in the final minute. Couldn't call a fking play to inbound a ball within 5 seconds!
Apple doesn't fall far from the [mentor's] tree. We came in after beating the Clippers, everyone's excited. We took the night off. Next morning, I come in, my coaching staff's there, I look at them and say "What do we got for Golden State? Let's have some ideas on how to stop them." Everyone starts looking at the floor like "Ha ha, yeah well uhh.." I was like "OH BOY!" I couldn't think of a way to stop them. Hey J.B., what do you got for New Orleans & Anthony Davis on Wednesday? J.B.: Ha ha, yeah well uhh... WE GOT NOTHIN'! We're ****ing hyperventilating out there!
