Nice, I like this. Harden, Teague, Motie, Dekker, Larkin, Capela, Harrell and roster cap holds equal roughly 38.5 mill, the projected cap for next season is 89 mill, leaving 50.5 mill in cap space That leaves ample room to max Durant + offer Howard/Horford/Whiteside about a 23 mill starting contract (In Whiteside's case a 21 mill max). Perhaps Teague could recruit Horford as well. Or if we can't get Durant, like you said still can go after DeRozan/Batum/Barnes as backup plans.
ah nothing. I shouldn't have posted this here, but in the rumour thread. At least nothing official yet.
What u think of getting actual rebounding and stretch 4 like ryan anderson and a solid defensive wing
Apparently early this morning all images and references to the Hawks were deleted from his instagram, but even if it is true, no one knows where yet.
Playing around with Trade Checker today 1. Brewer for Frye Perfect swap for us Frye give us the stretch four we are looking for. 2. Brewer+ Dekker+ Jones for MCW+Mayo+Plumleee MCW showed tons of promise in Philly but as most players do, dropped off when he got to MIL. If a change of scenery gets him back on track this could be our PG for the next 10 years. 3. Brewer+Lawson+Jones for Collison+Koufus+Gay Not a fan of Gays Contract but it's only an extra 4 mil on top of Brewers. Collison and Koufus are on really good contracts Especially when considering next years increase. Again could be getting your PG of the future along with a great backup C
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=hhf3lko Im thinking about this trade horford is an expiring, korver is cheaper than brewer. Calderon is a solid 3 point shooter. These players would better fit our philosophy and we would make cap for durant this summer
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=z9evn2k Hill/ Beverly Harden/Thornton Korver/Brewer Ariza/Smith/DMO Howard/Capela I'm not sure Atlanta bites (Lawson, who is expiring has some value as they look remain competitive for the season but the team clearly looks to move on to Dennis full time indicating a bit of a youth movement, it may take Capela to get this done and I'm not sure i do that), but I truly believe this move would change the outlook of this team. This season has made clear that we are severely lacking in defense, particularly perimeter defense, we play better when we go small and we are lacking in spacing. Moving Ariza to the four and adding an elite shooter like Korver would change the efficiency of both Harden and Howard, clearing the lane for Howard to post up and clear shots at the rim for both. The team has slowed down in pace for the worse and there really is no flow to our offense. I believe that George Hill who averages 1.4 steals per game will help lead to more fast breaks for our team and would in turn help to speed up our lethargic team (currently 7 in pace and we are a team who lives by playing fast).
Seems the Hawks are in major discussions about their 2014-5 Allstars? http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/14745595/atlanta-hawks-entertain-deals-al-horford-jeff-teague-kyle-korver-trade-deadline Crazy to think that a player of Teague's/Horford's caliber could be available...Crazy.
I know it's highly unlikely, but if we could land Horford (especially if it moves out Dwight Howard, a native Atlantan but people don't always like to play at home because of the distractions), "that would be greeeeeeeeeeeeat" (Lumberg, Office Space). I mean, Capela.....DMo.....we have players to entice the Hawks, do we not? (I know other teams will jump in, but Boston, for example, won't give up that Nets pick. Etc.)
I respectfully disagree. While his stats may have been inflated due to usage, his ability remains the same. He would instantly become the best ball handler and second best finisher at the rim on this team. He also brings the ability to create his own shot.
