Young was awesome, but Montana has the mystique.. 4-0 SBs / 0 INTs
Bradshaw threw too many picks IMO
Brady made average WRs look great
Aikman wasn't all that, Moon wasn't either but he was better than Troy
Can't speak on Plunkett-Lomax... don't know enough about them
Manning's defense is the main reason NY won... give me Ryan

Not many of you has mentioned Steve Young. To me, he's top 5 at least (and no, I am not a 49ers fan). He could kill the opponents in so many ways. Dude is the definition of a complete package.

It's kind of with good reason ...Young was my favorite QB growing up, he's easily top 10, but top 5 is pushing it. People often argue that he may have been better than Montana in overall skill set (or even in numbers). Older fans and more discerning fans can tell you the difference, which happened in the playoffs ... he quite often suffered from the same thing Peyton Manning does/did 2-6 against the Cowboys, Packers, and Falcons. It's kind of with good reason ...

He's playoff numbers, also aren't as prolific as Peyton's ... Young only started a good 7 seasons, definitely one of the greatest ever.

That leaves only four spots left.

Who does Young jump ahead of on this list:

    (Montana) - omitted, consensus #1
    2-5

    Staubach
    Graham
    Elway
    Marino
    Favre
    Brady
    Manning
    Brees

I haven't even included Starr, Moon, Kelly, or Bradshaw.

Though, I feel he's better than those four.

Why? Bump to thank his defense? Manning was horrible this season.

Manning did notch up just now, though not by much. Same way Elway does.

Day's end, Peyton's resume now reads 2 championships, instead of 1.

Doesn't too much matter how it happened.

He lost some playoff games where he was really good, yet it seemed to count against him.

Both Superbowls he has he was carried by his defense in the playoff runs.

Still a top 5 QB all time though

GOAT. His stats are so much better than anyone else. I think playoffs is largely luck.

Probably because most of the playoff games he lost he was bad in?

    Last 2 Super Bowls

    Brady:
    37/50, 328 YDs, 4 TDs, 2 INTs

    Manning:
    13/23, 141 YDs, 0 TD, 1 INT

Clearly one played with a historic defense and the other played against one while going 13/15, 2TDs in the 4th quarter to overcome a 10 point deficit.

Manning is wrong. He should be the one buying Von Miller Budweiser all night. His defense just saved Manning's legacy. Brady is still GOAT though.

Brady was a game manager for his first three Super Bowls, carried by elite defense, and a cheating organization.

Same lame narrative peddled over and over again.

Sure, Brady was a game manager who led last minute game winning drives in each of those 3 Super Bowl wins. I bet Trent Dilfer could have done the same.

Sure, Brady - the greatest game manager in history - also happens to own every playoffs and Super Bowl passing record. I bet Brad Johnson could have done the same.

The definition of game manager is what we saw from Peyton Manning tonight. Doing just enough to ensure his defense won. While the definition of GOAT is what Brady did to the historic Seahawks Legion of Boom defense, which is carving them up for the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history. If that doesn't impress you then your selective taste in football is your problem. I'm not even a Patriots fan and I can clearly see Brady is the GOAT.

It was the Pat's defense that sealed that win, Russel Wilson was about to the author the best comeback ever. Funny how that works.

Brady has never been on the same level as Peyton or the top tier of greatest QBs.
