I believe in James Harden.

    What point?

Your position is that you don't like Harden and you will say whatever you want to try and create an anti Harden narrative.

You don't deserve reasonable discussion. Just like BiggTexx you deserve to be mocked and laughed at.

This has nothing to do with Harden's efficiency as a scorer.

As I said...yeah, Harden's raw FG% is not elite. Some of his misses will lead to fast breaks (I don't see why you bring this up because this is the case with every player, but whatever). If you wanna complain about his turnovers or his defense, sure, go ahead. No arguments from me. Those are legitimate problems.

Harden's scoring efficiency? Yeah, that's dumb, especially if you act like the board is "going crazy" just because some people decide to use more sophisticated statistics that you fail to see proper value in. Free throws are a part of the game, very much so in Harden's case, and they must be factored in if you truly want to judge efficiency. That's not being a Harden apologist, that's just using common sense.

Every player has the same volume of missed field goals as Harden?

Harden, Cousins and Lillard lead the league in missed field goal attempts per game this season.

So...what is the point of this statement?

What came first? My distaste for Harden or Harden's relative poor play?

What motive would I have to have an irrational distaste for Harden? I personally don't know the man.

Anyways, if you want to play your silly game, Texxx in the D&D is known for attacking the poster rather than the post, which you are actually doing.

Your subjective opinion about the merit of my post is nothing more than a subjective opinion.

My point is volume of missed shots can affect defensive output. Thus, Harden's almost lead leading volume of missed shots along with his lead leading volume of turnovers is having a pretty negative impact on defense. Now compound that with Harden being one of the worst defensive guards in the league, no rational fan of this team should 'believe' in James Harden.

Have a serious introspective look at yourself larsv8 before attacking another poster by invoking another poster who isn't even involved in the discussion.

at this point we're stuck with Harden whether ppl like it or not, unless Les wants a complete rebuild which is highly unlikely.

I think you know and are being purposefully obtuse.

Greater volume of missed fga has a positive correlation with opponent fastbreak points or points from a non set defense.

You know also MISSES a high volume of shots?

    Steph ****ing Curry

    and....

    Kobe Bryant

    and..

    Hakeem Olajuwon.

    and...

    Chuck Hayes

    and....

    Ryan Bowen

It's basketball bro. EVERYONE misses a high volume of shots. Usually half...or more.

If you think pointing out generic truisms like that suffices to satisfy the intelligent fan, you are wrong. And if that makes one a nut hugger then fine.

I'd rather dangle from the Scrotum of Reason than listen to "Harden miss shot, boo hoo" anal dipsh-tology.

If on the other hand you think there's some merit to your position. .. I would gladly read it. It's 2016. Resources for this exist.

OK? Thank you for the riveting insight that elite offensive players who are supposed to take more shots than others do, in fact, miss more shots than others as well.

Kobe Bryant has missed more shots than anybody in history. Burn him at the stake! #VolumeStatistics

Kobe Bryant for a large portion of his career was also a great defensive guard who would hustle down the court with 100% effort after one of his misses.

I took your advice and did some introspecting.

I am still right and you are still trying to build a narrative around your emotions.

So we've gone from Harden's not efficient to Harden doesn't make enough raw field goals to Harden doesn't hustle enough, and these are the reasons our transition defense sucks.

    Got it.

Gasp! They can all be related!

The Rockets along with Harden miss the most threes in the entire league. Missed threes tend to generate long rebounds that tend to generate fast break opportunities for opponents. Compound that with Harden being notorisoly lazy chasing opponents on the fast break along with his league leading amount of turnovers that almost always generate fastbreak opportunities for opponents, his offense leads to quite a few easy buckets for the opponent.

Everybody knows Harden's effort is a legitimate problem. No arguments there.

It's your views on scoring efficiency that remain amazing.
