That said, the Thunder looked good. But it was mostly Durant's brilliance...one of the greats in NBA history having a great game. Even with that, it's interesting how much the Thunder got outplayed: the Thunder as a team shot 42.4%. The Warriors as a team shot 49.5%. The Warriors also got more shots, even while shooting so much better a percentage.

The main reason the game was close was because the Warriors shot 27% from three-point range despite shooting 42.7% on the season. That's luck, as studies have shown that teams who defend three-pointers well don't suppress three-point shooting percentage, they prevent teams from getting three-pointers off at a high rate. It's highly unlikely that the Warriors (who shot great from two-point range) shot poorly from three due to Oklahoma City. They just had an off shooting night...but still won by 8.

To be honest, it's hard not to resort to heroball when you have both Durant and Westbrook on your team. Even though Westbrook is streaky.

OKC did all this and still couldn't win with Klay and Curry with a bad game

    The Warriors' secret to winning

If your team can hold the Warriors under 50 percent shooting, less than 10 3-pointers and under 25 assists, they just might pull out a win. However, that's easier said than done.
