well at least its just one game. soon, rockets will be the team no one wants to go up against. even the warriors

 

Every time I go to a rockets game i noticed how thin our bench is(coach wise). We have assistant, coaching the team and two more assistants that are really just YES men. invest in your team les.

 

I hope cyber post something after this. I hope he shares some info he hears today.

 

I think what the first half highlights also is our desperate need for a 4 that can shoot. Harden has been awful, however everytime hes broken down his man in the half court set he's run into a brick wall and picked up his dribble. Having a Horford or Anderson type who can stroke it from outside would open up the spacing so well.

The Blazers are just packing the paint.

No, really.

That stretch with 5:00 to go in the second was worse than what I witnessed in Denver with Kevin McHale.

However, when you have a guy like Harden, continually turning the ball over, and each time it leads to points from the opponent, I can see why guys aren't hustling back. Harden's turnovers haven't been forced. They've been careless mistakes. He could easily pass the ball to the open man, but he's doing too much.

This is like his game against GS in the WCF (Game 5) where he threw the ball away, over and over, and the Splash Bros. scored each time. He is trying to go beastmode, when he really doesn't need to take it there.

Dwight has played relatively well. We need to go to him in the second half.

And, most importantly, James doesn't need to be handling the ball as much. I hope JB makes Pat/Ty/etc.. bring the ball up more. James needs to score in order for us to get back into it. It's TOO MUCH for him to play PG and then try to score every time down the court. That's the point of having a PG...

I don't know if it's a miscommunication between James and JB, but it's obvious that this isn't a game where James should have dribbling duties. Pat can do that just fine.

Put James in the post, and switch it up each time down with Dwight. Force the double team, and move the ball.

Move the damn ball.

 

i called it, henderson and harkelss the game day scrubs playing like all stars. both with 10pts.

This. We need a pick and pop player so bad. Anderson, horford, anyone. I'd even take Patterson back. smh. team is full of Midgets.

 

Henderson is a good player, can get you 10-15 a night on good percentages

 

Harden is purposefully throwing this game to give J.B. a signal for benching him in Phoenix, who knows...

BTW, as much as I like hearing info. related to transactions, the trade deadline won't solve a lot of these issues.

It's internal problems that have been around since the start of the season. The Rockets are STILL trying to work themselves out of the debacle that started in late October.

Simply throwing new players into the mix doesn't alleviate all of that. You have to anticipate new chemistry challenges and adjustments in line-ups and rotations.

The only transaction that would fix this, and quickly, would be a trade for KD, LeBron,Steph,Blake..etc...

Not happening.
