You are weird in the sense when almost everyone has a morning urge for coffee or juice, you just want to milk something out of ATW's nipple
What part of "hate to" did you miss interpret? Generally your term is just a dismissive to post you disagree with. In this case Robbie is sort of lumping all the negative Red Scare propaganda about socialism on Bernie rather than looking at his reasoned Democratic Socialistic principles. His campaigning positions, much like those of the GOP side, extend to the extreme as a position to negotiate from. He needs a widely differing position from all the Congressmen owned by the big banks. Capitalism is like a shark, it has no morals, it's only the pursuit of profit by any legally defensible means.
Old Hilrod is feeling the Bern this morning, that is a certainty. Bernie Sanders has pulled to within the margin of error nationwide with Hillary Clinton in the most recent Quinnipiac poll. Wow. I have thought all along that many if not most Democrats were socialists at heart and now we have documented proof. Also, Hillary's net favorability rating of negative 17 only trails Trump's negative 25 point rating. What a pair. I thought Hillary was a certain winner over Bernie. Isn't that what the "experts" have been telling us? Well, it is not looking so certain now.
Seems it a good year for insurgent candidates of all ilks. Bad news for the oligarchs. But they will still own Congress so they win.
This is true, but it is not the whole story. When they are out of control the capitalists buy the politicians and the judges to change what is "legal". The type of legal bribery that the conservatives/"libertarians" have foisted on us with Citizen's United is a case in point..
Bernie and Hilary in a dead heat nationwide !!! HILARY AND SANDERS IN DEAD HEAT NATIONWIDE I find it hard to believe, but if true, I don't think Hillary will be able to turn the tide. I have expected Bernie to start chipping away at Hillary among African Americans, and others as the word gets out. *********** Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders has dramatically cut into the nationwide lead of primary rival Hillary Clinton, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll. No wonder Hillary got her gal at the DNC, Debbie Wasserman to start having more debates. No wonder Hillary looked at times almost frantic in the debate with Sanders last night. http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box...362-sanders-tied-with-clinton-nationwide-poll The poll released Friday finds Clinton leading the race with 44 percent support, compared to 42 percent support for Sanders, within the survey's margin of error. The last iteration of the poll in December had Clinton leading Sanders nationwide 61–30. “Democrats nationwide are feeling the Bern as Sen. Bernie Sanders closes a 31-point gap to tie Secretary Hillary Clinton,” said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.
By legally defensible I just mean they can probably avoid going to jail over it. Certainly capitalism can and does make a profit and loss analysis for the projected legal defense costs and liability costs of actions and the costs of influencing law i.e. lobbying. We agree, the only way to change the valuation is to personalize the crimes and liabilities, throw someone in jail. The short circuit to achieve this is to put a populist progressive in charge of the DOJ.
*taps the mic* Is this thing on? Did you read my prior posts? I replied back to you on page 18 explaining what I thought of Bernie's Wall Street platform and also a few posts up. I don't think I'm lumping Red Scare propaganda into what I've written. Please point out where I have. I've even offered an areas where I think the changes should occur. The financial markets are pretty regulated as they stand. I don't think the regulations Bernie has mentioned are even achievable and some don't really make much sense other than being things to get his base excited. I posted where I agreed with him.
Clinton is in deep trouble. Latest CNN poll in NH has Bernie leading by 30, which us a crazy number. Assuming he beats her by 20, Bernie could catapult to the front of the race, nationwide. If Bernie can peel some of the African American support from Clinton, she could be cooked.
Not a chance Bernie will win Nationally. Black people LOVE the Clintons. As long as Obama isn't running......they will stand with Hillary.
Anything to chip away at the 1 percent Monarchy we have here in America sounds great. Let's see it Bernie...
They'll stand with anyone that wins the Democrat nomination is what history would teach you, but without Obama on the ticket, they won't turn out with the same kinds of numbers. The problem that Hillary has is that there's just nothing at all exciting about her as a candidate (and she might not even be able to run due to legal problems), there's just nothing that will get her supporters out to the polls in big numbers unless there is someone on the other side they are motivated to vote against. Now if someone like Trump or maybe Cruz wins the Republican ticket, that might be enough to get people out to the polls in large enough numbers to allow for a Hillary win, but if someone like Rubio gets it, I would expect for a fairly small number of Democrats to vote. Old pasty white woman who is owned by Wall Street isn't exactly what would motivate the Democratic base.
] Of course blacks will vote against the GOP dog whistle race party, Well Bernie might not be black, but when you are talking about national health care, free four year state college, ending mass encarceration. decrimimnalizing mar1juana, all much bolder than Obama that is exciting for African Americans. I have found that it is relatively easy to get African Americans to consider Bernie. , I can largely agree with this. Well Rubio is a more staus quo pleasantly packaged right winger, sort of analogous to a young Hillary backed by some heavy billionaire money and his name might attract your typical conservative and also a few low info others voters misled by his last name. Analogous to your referring to Hillary as a pasty white woman, you might call him a young light skinned guy (making him a more palatable Latino for GOP'ers) who is owned by Wall Street and Sheldon Adelman and a couple of other right wing billionaires. .[/QUOTE]
Oh don't misunderstand, I'm sure upwards of 90% of the black vote will still just check the name with the (D) after it as they always do, but I'm saying that they won't show up to the polls in anywhere near the same numbers they did for Obama. They literally never have before.
The excitement for Bernie Sanders is real as he speaks to a more level playing field. He does not need to bring outside mayors, senators, etc... to up his campaign. Sanders' campaign is as organic as they come. Black people love the Clintons so much that she is a two-term POTUS. Oh wait....
I know this is Sanders thread, but this news piece affects both candidates: Between Bill and Hillary, they made 729 speeches for which they got paid a whopping $153 million dollars, many of those speeches before banks, including infamous Goldman Sachs. It is no wonder that Hillary voted to limit what individuals could discharge in bankruptcy court; as the first lady, she was opposed to any of those same restrictions. I really don't care about the email issues, but the above is most bothersome for me.
