Man.... Looking at some of the older posts, I don't think GS has been disappointed with this signing. :) I just wish the Rockets drafted him... Haha, but obviously it looks like other teams passed on him too, so not all on Morey.

I despise the guy, but he has definitely surprised me. I still can't imagine giving him the max, but his numbers don't lie. Shoot, even LeBron gave him a cosign.

I was wrong about the entire Warriors' roster, especially Steph. I will be the first one to admit that I didn't see his takeover coming. I thought those ankles would be an issue, and I even thought Monta would still put up better numbers. Mind you, I'm still a HUGE Monta fan, but Steph Curry has been amazing.

To our defense as Rockets fans :p, I'll always wonder if Green could put up the same numbers in another system with an entirely-different roster. That GS offense makes EVERYONE look incredible. Even the Brazilian Assassin has rejuvenated himself in the bay. Harrison Bars is on the cusp of being an all-star. ( I haven't looked at the returns though) Iggy got his second breath there.

Hell, one of their most underrated guys, Brandon Rush, doesn't even get enough minutes because they're stacked. (I'm a fan of his, not that team)

I will NEVER have love for Draymond, but he is playing up to his salary, and then some.

    Yuck?;)

Why is the guy so unlikeable?? He probably works 3x harder on his game than any current Rocket player - that's even after getting paid. The guy is dedicated and commits 150%. If only Harden had that kind of commitment...

    Every freaking dime....

He's the leader of that GS team....

too many people value scoring as the all and all of a player...

In all aspects of the game and on both ends of the court...

He has a league leading 9 TRIPLE DOUBLES and in his interviews he talks about defense.

I could write an epic response to address the many reasons why I despise Draymond, but I think you could find other people with the same opinion. Regardless of my dislike for him, I have to give him his props for leading the league in triple-doubles, being one of the leaders on his team and playing multiple positions where he's undersized. He's having a hell of a year.

Still, if he were to be on the Rockets, it would take me quite awhile to warm up to him, even with those stats.

I'm sure he's one of those players that you love to have on your team...but absolutely hate him when you have to play against him. He reminds me of Matt Barnes, but with much more talent and potential.

I wonder if he likes the "villain" role, or if there's just a small group of fans that can't stand him.

For me, he goes in the same space as Kenneth Faried. I can't stand him, but for different reasons.

Draymond gets respect from me, but purely based on his numbers this year.

    Also...

Westbrook just logged his 7th Triple-Double.

Who do you like more? Tough one.

    Draymond Green is Richard Sherman.

Both great players, but with a big mouth. Hate him if he's not on your team, but love it if he's on your team.

Unlike Harden...no one seems to like this guy!

“I’ll continue to prove them wrong over and over again.”

No matter how well he plays, how much money his next contract is worth, and how much success his teams have with him on the floor, Draymond Green expects people to doubt him.

“At some point, will they learn?” he asked. “Will they figure it out? They’ll have to believe [in me] at one point or another. Some of them have ate their words already. Some of them will eat them sooner than later.”

    Where is this from?

I have definitely eaten my words when it comes to both Steph and Draymond. I was wrong.

But, how many people honestly anticipated that Dray would turn out to be this good? 9 Triple-Doubles good?!

LeBron suggests that he knew whichever team got Green would love him, based on a recent interview.

Again, I didn't think Steph Curry would be this animal that he's become. I thought he would be a decent starter, but MVP? Nope.

How many people saw that coming though?

The front office in the bay is doing a great job. That, mixed with some really good luck, bodes well for another championship run.

Just free my guy Brandon Rush!

I still dislike him because the league lets him get away with so much. He's a fake tough guy with all his yapping and sticking his tongue out. Don't care for him at all.

Imagine if Dwight could get away with the stuff Green does.

Imagine if Green was treated like Dwight.

That's how much a difference NBA and their refs have on player's careers.

In short, if the NBA stops giving him preferential treatment where he can literally swipe people's legs with his arms to make them fall down and not get called for it he would be at best a good player, at worst a mediocre player. Without NBA helping him he isn't be worth the max.

I like Draymond Green because he is a fighter. I don't see him as dirty. He is just competitive and brings it. I really respect that.

Think about the finals and who were the BIG DAWGS on that GSW roster. It wasn't Curry and Thompson. It was Green and Iggy. It was their WILL that made the difference in that Cavs series in terms of turning it around. Otherwise the Cavs would have overpowered them. There is a reason Iggy got the finals MVP.

Guys like Green and Iggy, those are those "pit bull" type players you need. Like Mario Elie. But when you give a "great player" that "pit bull" mentality, that makes them all that more deadly.

Green got PAID this summer. Did he pack it in? Is he slouching after being paid? Or playing even better? Another sign of a great player.

Draymond Green quietly with another trip-dub. But he's a system player, because a guy who can defend all five positions, pass and handle like a guard, rebound like a forward and shoot 40%+ from three-point range wouldn't really be any good on most teams.
