I see these more than anything as contingencies meant to hedge against informal harassment or denial of service, the investigation and enforcement process will be detailed enough to deter much more than an initial complaint which an investigator can probably deny or shutdown for any number of reasons. New York is one of these places that, because of its size and diversity has to take the lead on a lot of anti-discrimination policies just to preempt class action torts or massive protests.
I would have loved to see Trump run for a city wide post and work his way up, maybe go to a Planning commission and be a Robert Moses type.
That's a fair enough point and I was probably a little quick to defend it. It would certainly be worth exploring through the court system.
What if an Asian man identifies as black and gets employed or into a school because of it? What if a Jeep Wrangler owner identifies as straight? What if an ugly person identifies as hot, but society disagrees? As a very liberal and - undoubtedly sexy - human being, it is beyond me why trannies exploit what they identify as legally - while no one else can. It is only a matter of time before the gender fad turns into the race fad.
