What's the point? The point is to make money. That's why most TV shows and movies are made. To make money.
So so so excited or this. It's a mini series, which is even crazier. I thought it be just one movie, ahhahah.
Feel good story. A triumph. Survival story of epic proportions. We needed to see for ourselves whether the iceberg hit the Titanic, or if the Titanic hit the iceberg. Curious why no one mentioned "Making a Murderer" Also curious why no one pointed out that "the People" actually *didn't" get him.
I think they could have picked someone bigger to play OJ, but other than that, I enjoyed it. I can't wait for the next episode.
If by "bigger" you mean more athletic / taller, then this^. I first noticed / was bothered when: Spoiler they were interviewing OJ in his backyard when he first arrived/returned from Chicago OJ would have towered over everyone and CGJ was shorter than everyone. If you meant "bigger" as more recognizable then I guess that too.
Good first episode. I wasn't aware Travolta was involved and most of the actors are fairly well known. In any case, its something I've read about pretty extensively over the years. They pretty much had the crime scene set up exactly as it was. The scenes on the night of the murder really put you there in that moment. Spooky. Couple of things I didn't know: Spoiler I didn't know that Chris Darden and Johnny Cochran had a working relationship prior to OJ. Also, I didn't know Darden wanted out of the LA prosecutors office. And on the morning he was arrested, Paula Barbierie was sleeping with OJ in Kim Kardashians room?
I thought it was it was pretty impressive, made for a fast hour, less the commercials of course. Looking forward to the rest of the season.
As much as I'm intrigued by the story of the trial, I'm even more intrigued by the almost-guaranteed prospect that O.J. has CTE which is what has led him down this path.
I think when the real trial was going on, I thought it got to the point of ludicrous when they called to stand the witness who was stealing stuff out of OJ's bronco on the impound lot in order to testify on what blood stains he saw in the Bronco when he was stealing **** out of it. lol. I mean seriously. It was an interesting trial with all the twists and turns. I think he did it. I think he got framed for it. And that was that. I will watch given the good reviews.
Saw the first episode. Hard to enjoy because it was such a horrible crime, and the murders were so gruesome. Two people were butchered, and no one brought to justice. The whole thing is just sad and depressing.
It was 20 years ago, a major media event..... a lot of interesting intersections (Kardashians etc.). It is something that they think people will watch and they can then make money off of it.
Whatever I don't really care if Nicole and Ron's family is upset.... it was over 20 years ago, it is fair game. Movies/television series are made about tragic events all the time.
re: Cuba Gooding Jr being too small. He's 5'10" and 175 lbs (at least was during Jerry mcGuire). OJ was 6-1 and 212 (probably much heavier at the time of the trial) One thing I think may have made him a good choice for the part was that OJ was seen as a very popular person... and Gooding Jr would bring that same likability to the role.
