No, continuing to state "Who cares?" is entering the debate with a losing position.

Not weird at all, this is a really easy battle to win from my perspective because it's so ridiculous. The whining about the Oscars is more likely to make people think you are r****ded or elicit laughter than anything else....especially since some are trying to act like this is an actual civil rights issue instead of it just being a group of millionaires upset that they didn't win an award that routinely snubs actors of all races that think they should win.

Shocker, same people making feeble attempts at personal insults because they aren't intelligent enough to discuss the issues.

Bro tip: trolling someone with insults that don't even approach reality is almost always ineffective. Be better.

You still have no clue what the issue is evidenced by this post...

Like read the first sentence of the OP again. Just the first sentence. You will then have a better understanding what this is about.

Oh trust me, I know what this is really all about....the problem is that those taking up this ridiculous cause don't seem to.

And I'm fine with you thinking that. By all means, continue your march from Selma to protest that a few millionaires were snubbed at the Oscars. You may not realize that's why you are protesting, but it's common for protesters to not realize the actual reasons they are out there. After all, for the most part protesters are only pawns being played by those who control them.

Lol what? You have no clue what this is about. You really think the topic of diversity in Hollywood and representation for all minorities in media is something that JUST popped up when it has been going on since (and well before) Eddie Murphy gave a speech about it and further back when Marlon Brando skipped the Oscars to make the point.

But you do you. Create your little strawman and beat it up as you like to do. Tell me what my argument is.

As for people being pawns, it's common for people that are completely ignorant of a specific topic have no idea what they are talking about as you do here.

Blacks are better players though. Whites aren't better actors.

Nope, it's racism. There is a disproportionately high percentage of black NBA All Stars thus racism.

Isn't that what the whining about the Oscars boils down to?

blacks and latinos are proprtionately to over represented in hollywood which includes tv. it's good luck to the actors of other minority groups.

perhaps, i'm just a cynic, but this seems to be a play by a pr team.

oscar nominations can be life lines to even undeserving dog of a films in that they help sales.

chi-raq was savaged by critics and concussion is on track to be will smith's lowest grossing film in a long time.

if there's more to to it than that and will smith is just throwing his toys for not getting recognition. moneyball was quirky and a new subject matter which are buzzwords for most awards & festival winners. it was probably too soon for another "sports" movie and no concussion wasn't investigative journalism.

and please don't tell me will smith was serious about becoming president with this being his first steps into manufactured social activism, ugh...

He's talking about shades of color. In technocolor, Blacks and Latinos have more shades of color in films than whities do. In the black and white era of films, it was more equal. There were less shades of black.
