immigration was 4th on voters list of concerns in Iowa, and a relatively minor one at that, with only 13% citing it. Cruz is not my guy, but you have to give them man his due here. he won handily, when models suggested he shouldn't have based on turnout, and he did so w/o immigration being a significant issue. that's Yuge. also, it must be noted, Trump was roundly repudiate...by REPUBLICANS. Trump is/was a national media creation, and a liberal infatuation. his voters are democrats, by and large, not republicans. Trump may have increased turnout, but they didn't vote for him. Cruz, and Rubio, drew from a different well of voters.
So if you are right, Cruz is basically a one-hit wonder (perhaps two hits, if you count Texas) and will be basically an afterthought in the race starting in New Hampshire next Tuesday. Right?
Certainly not an afterthought but Iowa is one of the few states that Cruz should do best in during the primaries. Do you not see that? You should probably be more concerned with the shady as hell tactics that Cruz is using right now. I thought this guy was supposed to be the integrity candidate? Pshaw. BTW, I'd be extremely pleased if Cruz won the nomination so I'm rooting for him, trust me.
I will start to take you seriously about these sorts of assertions when I see you taking seriously the shady as hell tactics that are routinely demonstrated b Hillary Clinton, such as setting up her own private email server for her work emails while she was Secretary of State, and also her intimidatation and attempts to silence women who had been sexually abused by her husband, former President Bill Clinton.
Strange that you let your own moral compass be influenced by whether or not a poster named "CometsWin" appears to be consistent on a topic. Either one is alarmed by dishonest campaign tactics (e.g. "violation" flyers or what-have-you, and having staff mislead voters into thinking another candidate has withdrawn from the race), or one is not. But anyway, I am definitely watching out, so I still appreciate the thread.

Yep, she's shady as hell and I've never said otherwise. Now what? I guess it's your turn to call Ted Cruz shady as hell and a supreme hypocrite. Here's my own quote on the subject. And here's you being the Ted Cruz dreamer voter. And me pointing out how ridiculous your contentions are about Ted Cruz. You're up, Mojo.
As far as the flyers that tried to motivate people to get out and vote, that's no big deal regardless of what you and the people on MSNBC say, so I really couldn't care less. On the statements telling Ben Carson voters that Carson was dropping out of the race, I am bothered by that. The explanation was apparently that Carson had announce that he is going home right now and appears to be taking some time off of his campaign for a few days, or maybe longer. But to me, these remarks were low and inappropriate, as he is not getting out of the race. It appears that Ted Cruz has apologized for this incident. So once again Ted Cruz has demonstrated that he has a level of integrity that is well beyond anything ever displayed by Hillary Clinton, as Cruz is taking responsibility for his campaign workers actions, although I suspect he was unaware of any of this in advance and regards this as a real bonehead move by those staffers. Anyway, I would not like to see this sort of thing with Carson become a pattern, and I do not expect it will.
Ted Cruz resorting to every dirty trick in the book just to pull out a win in Iowa highlights his lack of authenticity. He proved that when it comes down to it he's exactly the same as those he calls the "Washington Cartel".....not that it should surprise anyone.
Roll your eyes if you like but your Canadian buddy is no different than any other career politician in the US....well except that most were born in the US and are eligible to be president.
He sort of apologized. Earlier today he said it was flat out untrue. Now he is saying it is true and he's sorry, but it's really CNN's fault because they sent out a false report. Except CNN didn't send out a false report. CNN reported that Ben Carson was going home to Florida instead of to New Hampshire last night and their on air people thought it was proof that his campaign isn't well run because nobody goes home if they want to win. At no time did they say he was getting out of the race.
Wow Cruz. That's some REALLY dirty politics there. Apologizing afterwords doesn't change the fact those americans were disenfranchised. As a republican, it makes me rethink whether I could ever support this guy.
