Dwight Howard suspended for tonight's game against the Heat

This is in all honesty for leaving the Lakers. He could've still be their whipping boy and Kobe would nowhere near retirement status, just chucking 30 shots a night

This is probably coming from the NBA Ref union. They made a big complaint to the League Office in November that Budenholzer should have been suspended for making contact with a ref.

NBRA general counsel Lee Seham in a statement, “Recent league precedent dictated a coach who aggressively charged onto the floor … and physically interfered with a referee would be suspended. We are now operating at a lower level with less transparency, degraded safety and diminished respect for the game. Coaches should compete by creating better teams, not by physically intimidating officials.”​

In the end, they did not suspend Bud. So, Rockets could say, if Bud wasn't suspended, why should Dwight be?

He was ejected for getting his second technical. He was suspended for making contact with the official.

 

In a vacuum, that's unsurprising. It's not unheard of to get a suspension for throwing a ref's hands off you when they're trying to separate you from another player.

However after already getting ejected from two games, I think the guy's been punished enough. This is just overkill.

Suspension on the other hand is fair, I don´t expect the league to allow this, coach Bud screwed it up earlier this season, they were not going to let this happen

 

Didn't Howard pick up his 15th technical of the season? Isn't it for another suspension?

 

Wasn't it the ref that made contact with him??

Waiting patiently for the league's response to the Adams swing, Nene arm bar, ref that wouldn't call a timeout after looking right at JB, the missed flagrant on Westbrook, etc.

At least they addressed the Dudley "I fouled Harden"....ie "no you didn't".

 

Hope DMo can get in there and pull Whiteside away from the rim-- like all the way to the bench.

His second tech was given to him because the other ref saw him strike the refs arm down. And was NEVER given a tech after pushing Nene. Watch the video.
